Okay, this is either the funniest movie ever made or I want what these guys are having to be this happy doing the dog and pony show that is a movie press conference. Summer 2022 fantasy/sci-fi/time-travel movie Alienoid (Alien+Human: Part 1) was always one of the most high profile K-movies slated for this year thanks to the too many to … Continue reading →
I looked up the PD for upcoming KBS drama Cafe Minamdang to refresh his part works and was pleased that his most recent drama was Dinner Mate (Would You Like to Have Dinner Together). That drama was great for the first half but after the OTP got together it got a bit boring, but the pretty directing was part of … Continue reading →
Last weekend’s start to tvN new Sat-Sun drama Alchemy of Souls was probably as good as it gets. The drama is headlined by a younger cast with two idol-actors in the mix and looked like a hodge podge of elements in the promos. That it’s actually fun and interesting was all I could have hoped for, which is what makes … Continue reading →
It’s week 4 for Eve, week 3 for Insider, and a fresh week 2 for Jinxed at First but the feedback appears to be settled already. Eve has returned a bit to above 3% ratings for the last 3 episodes and the most recent one got 3.571%. Insider hasn’t caught on further after the ratings increase from the first to … Continue reading →
The “even K-dramas can’t make this up” real life rekindled romance and whirlwind wedding of South Korean rapper and star DJ Koo with Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu (Da S) has an update this week as the happy hubby dished on how it all went down with Yoo Jae Suk on his program Yoo Quiz on the Block. It was as … Continue reading →
The promo circuit is starting early with MBC Sat-Sun summer drama Big Mouth which arrives on July 29th and this week we’ve gotten first stills and now first official drama posters. It’s way darker and more serious than I thought it would be, I dunno when I heard about a third rate lawyer getting mistaken for a top swindler it … Continue reading →
It’s a June baby for K-actress Honey Lee and I’m a June baby myself so its my favorite month heh. Honey Lee announced on June 21st she delivered her first child with husband who is a baby girl. She got married last year in December 2021 and confirmed she was also expecting then. Last month she was in a stylized … Continue reading →
Guhhhhh, this is not going to end well. Either the drama sucks, or it’s great but two out of three perfect male leads are longing forever and even the female lead is only 50% happy. I’m talking about Tong Hua‘s xianxia romance novel Lost You Forever, three volumes and basically my C-version of Pride & Prejudice where I think everything … Continue reading →
Oh man, now I HAVE to go back and watch Monthly House (Monthly Magazine Home). The 2021 jTBC drama was on my to-watch list but fell into that small but sad bucket of dramas I always mean to catch up on afterwards but kinda forgot about as time went on. This week the male lead Kim Ji Suk sent a … Continue reading →
To no one’s surprise, K-actress Kim Da Mi who debuted in a huge way in movies will be looking at the broader entertainment landscape when she picks her next agency. K-ent is reporting that she’s in talks to sign with UAA (United Artists Agency) after her current contract with ANDMARQ expires. She along with Kim Tae Ri has had one … Continue reading →
When you’ve been around K-ent long enough it’s just a matter of when for many K-stars to get lobbed a bully allegation or worse. Not most though, there are still plenty of stars whom have never misbehaved in private to warrant fear of public reveal, but there are more stars than we know of who have and it’s just not … Continue reading →
New week new drama stills and this one is for upcoming MBC drama Big Mouth. I don’t know why but I keep thinking this is a tvN drama it just fits that network’s vibe more but lately MBC has been throwing money into promotions more. Big Mouth arrives in late July taking over the Fri-Sat time slot from Doctor Lawyer … Continue reading →

The Hong Sisters magic is back and ready to inject drama crack into my koala veins and I’m scrambling to find as many veins for the elixir to flow through me at max capacity.
