If you would have told me when he debuted that K-actor Choi Woo Shik would be a movie picking genius and now on the cusp of breaking into Hollywood I would have laughed. And yet here we are as the Parasite cast member is entertaining an offer to do a US film called Past Lives. It’s smart to get an … Continue reading →
K-actress Park Shin Hye has updated her SNS this week with cute chic new pictures despite not being in the limelight recently with no new drama or movie out. She’s sporting a winter ashy red short hair style with bangs, it looks so fun and flirty I love it. It’s nice to see her enjoying her down time and hopefully … Continue reading →
Even though Crash Landing on You started filming last year in August 2019, it’s nowhere near banking enough footage and is basically on live shoot schedule now. August was taken up by a location shoot in Switzerland and this is a large scale drama with a lot of characters so it’s not fast point and shoot in a studio. Despite … Continue reading →
The lunar year finished on a fun note for K-actress Kim Yoo Jung as she appeared to have spent it in sun dappled California. She posted a selfie last week from the sunshine state sporting a FILA t-shirt as she’s been a spokesmodel for the youth-oriented sportswear brand since 2017 in South Korea. She was in Cali to shoot for … Continue reading →
The year of the rat is off to a….start. Not sure if it’s good or bad because all the news seems to be bad but who knows maybe the world is front loading all the negative stuff and the remainder is only up. A lot of China’s lunar new year festivities were cancelled due to fears of spreading the Wuhan … Continue reading →
This is my personal blog so technically I can write about anything. I’ve kept it focused in Asian entertainment primarily K-dramas purely for focus but clearly I have other interests. One of which is I am a intense and avid NBA fan and a diehard purple and gold Lakers girls since my youth. So it’s with a broken heart and … Continue reading →
This sucks, why can’t men be faithful or simply not get married and make a promise they can’t keep. J-ent is starting the lunar new year off with a major scandal as a tabloid reported that married acting couple Watanabe Ann (daughter of Hollywood Japanese actor Ken Watanabe) and her actor husband Higashide Masahiro are separated. The reason is due to … Continue reading →
Breathing a sigh of relief here and none of my fave actresses are cast in this one. Go Sung Hee will be the lucky (or unlucky) leading lady to join Park Shi Hoo in his upcoming TV Chosun sageuk Wind, Cloud, and Rain. Knowing TV Chosun carving out a nice niche in sageuk dramas courtesy of Jin Se Yeon (who … Continue reading →
I would have loved new episodes of Crash Landing on You this weekend as a lunar new year present but oh wells, let’s use this as another exercise in patience. It helps that the last episode ended not on a sad separation cliffhanger but a sweet reunion moment. It’s so wonderful to see the screenwriter find creative and fast ways … Continue reading →
This is a tough lunar new year with the biggest country celebrating the holiday quarantining cities and trying to contain a viral outbreak. But life goes on and this Saturday January 25th, 2020 is the start of a new lunar calendar year with this being the year of the rat. The cast of currently filming tvN drama Wise Doctor Life … Continue reading →
When one door closes another opens, or when one star passes another pops up. Kim Rae Won is in talks for genetics based thriller K-drama Luca, which got press early on when Ji Chang Wook was considering it. He’s since passed and may take a rom-com opposite Kim Yoo Jung, whereas Kim Rae Won is now considering Luca and if … Continue reading →
This seems like such a weird thing to do and I sorta get the blowback on it. K-actress Gong Hyo Jin, coming off what may be a career banner year with K-drama When the Camellia Blooms got her the KBS Drama Awards Daesang, is in the cross hairs of K-netizens this week after she posted a comment on one of … Continue reading →
This is funny because it’s a rumor but scary because of what is happening in Mainland China. TW-singer Jay Chou was rumored to have recently traveled to Wuhan coronavirus stricken China and moved about the airport in a medical isolation pod. It’s a picture spreading on social media and of course netizens are upset that someone rich and famous could … Continue reading →
