Okay, this is all over the news so take it with a grain of salt. Park Bo Gum shot up the search engines on Sunday in South Korea after an anonymous post claiming of a person claiming to be the friend of a nurse at a hospital wrote that a star went in recently seeking treatment for an anal tear. … Continue reading →
It’s been over a year since K-actress Suzy was cosplaying a government agent running, shooting, and escaping in upcoming SBS drama Vagabond. I hope she’s ready to dive into promoting the drama airing next month because she’s go glammed up recently in all her CF and endorsement events the visuals are even more incongruous to sell her as a rough … Continue reading →
Summer of 2019 is ending and will bring with it the return of tvN drama Arthdal Chronicles, which kicked of the summer when it first premiered at the beginning of June. The first two seasons didn’t reach the ratings height expected of such a big name and big budget production but narratively the drama did keep getting better as it … Continue reading →
This is an unique pictorial and one that chooses to focus on the timeless good looks of K-actor Kim Jae Wook by painting him with a patina. The latest Esquire Korea spread with Kim Jae Wook is full retro from his outfits, those wide legged trousers still remind me of the mid-2000 K-drama days lol, but he’s able to pull … Continue reading →
The fallout is fast on this divorce drama between Gu Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun, unlike the other even more high profile K-ent divorce earlier this summer with Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo. Silence is golden because life is long and months and years after the emotions of the failed marriage and/or contentious divorce is over there … Continue reading →
I know Kang Ha Neul went to the military for two years and just got back but he totally threw me for a loop in the first teasers for the upcoming drama When the Camellia Blooms by looking just like his dorky character in the coming-of-age movie Twenty. In the first teaser, he runs and runs and arrives at Gong … Continue reading →
It’s been a short and long 13-weeks watching live to TW-drama Before We Get Married (We Cannot Be Friends) which ended this Friday just as my summer is coming to a close. I want to thank this fantastic drama and leads Jasper Liu and Puff Guo for bringing me back to crack TW-drama land and also elevating everything I’ve liked … Continue reading →
The countdown is on with T-minus 30 days until SBS premieres action conspiracy drama Vagabond on September 20th. It’s on the Fri-Sat time slot which may be the new normal, that weekends are where the ratings remain now and even big budget dramas will air then. Vagabond is the last high profile drama of 2019 that I’ve been anticipating among … Continue reading →
The first teaser poster and preview is out for jTBC epic sageuk drama My Country and hoo boy it looks great! I didn’t ever think leading man Yang Se Jong could make my jaw drop with a turn towards warrior sexy but he certainly surprised me in the best way possible thanks to my low expectations. When My Country was … Continue reading →
Oooh, this one looks potentially adorable and hilarious. I’m never in the mood for serious and dark Korean political dramas but tvN‘s The Great Show is a comedic family take on it with Song Seung Heon doing his best smarmy politician impression. He plays a formerly high flying wunderkind politician who loses his re-election and falls back to earth. He … Continue reading →
The reason why failed marriages almost always end up in a divorce is being refusing to get divorced cannot and does not repair what is failed in the marriage. It’s a band aid holding together a severed limb rather than a small cut. The latest on the Gu Hye Sun–Ahn Jae Hyun divorce drama is that he has now broken … Continue reading →
This drama sounds interesting and looks cute, enough for me to check it out and with a shorter run time on Netflix it just sounds like a perfect end-of-summer treat. Love Alarm rings tomorrow on August 22nd, signaling the return to high school for Kim So Hyun (maybe her last time) along with male leads Song Kang and Jung Ga … Continue reading →
I’m going to try and lay out both sides and hopefully people don’t get too riled up. I think the issue with the HK protests going on 2 months now are viewed from completely diametric lenses where there is no compromise point of view. Either the HK protesters are in the right, fighting for freedoms they were promised and against … Continue reading →
