This looks like a sweet harmless movie if I ever saw one and funnily enough stars two stars that K-netizens are prickly towards. Jung Hae In and Kim Go Eun put on their late ’90s gear to star in the K-movie Tune in for Love (Yoo Yeol’s Music Album) set during the IMF crisis where two people share love stories … Continue reading →
The first teaser trailer is out for the Disney live action movie adaptation of the animated movie Mulan based on the Chinese folklore story of Hua Mulan. Normally I don’t cover Hollywood but the live action movie stars popular Chinese actress Crystal Liu (Liu Yi Fei) as the titular Mulan along with veterans Gong Li, Donnie Yen, and Jet Li. … Continue reading →
Recently discharged idol-actor Taecyeon has his first post-military role selected and it’s a fantasy tinged one. He’s going to be the leading man in upcoming MBC drama The Game, playing a prophet or soothsayer who can see peoples demise. He encounters a police detective which is the only person he cannot see the how the cop dies and after their … Continue reading →
Sorry for skipping out last week on my commentary for currently airing Friday night TW-drama Before We Get Married. It’s my crackiest of crack dramas going on right now but the last two episodes were slower and denser than usual so I’m glad my busy life delay led to reviewing it together because it feels like a 1-2 punch. Ke … Continue reading →
K-actor Ji Chang Wook is one of those ’87ers that all pushed their enlistment to the end and recently they all were successively discharged after serving 2 years. He turned 32 years old (33 in Korean age) this past July 5th and looks ready for his acting return in the romantic sci-fi drama Melt Me where he plays a man … Continue reading →
I would have totally noticed the change so I’m glad Bolin Chen made the announcement in his own adorable way. The actor isn’t the most traditionally handsome type but really surged to perfect boyfriend status thanks to hit drama In Time With You. One of his visual traits is a dark mole on his right cheekbone about an inch below … Continue reading →
What did I say about using the tidal wave of the Song-Song divorce to release bad news right now because it’ll just slide right under. K-ent has another breakup but this one happened last year in 2018 though it is revealed only now. Long time dating couple Lee Chung Ah and Lee Ki Woo have confirmed their split but it … Continue reading →
I love that the script reading stills have this blue tint to it, rather eerie and suited to the genre of the drama. Recently released from military service Im Shi Wan teams up with Lee Dong Wook for the drama adaption of the webtoon Strangers From Hell. It’s set in a cheap apartment complex for those studying for college entrance … Continue reading →
K-actress Song Hye Kyo has been in the industry over two decades and remains a consummate professional even in the midst of personal turmoil. She made her first public appearance this weekend at a Sulhwasoo skincare brand event in Sanya, China, over a week after her soon-to-be ex-husband Song Joong Ki filed for divorce. So the Song-Song couple won’t be … Continue reading →
I’m craving something different and that’s really why I’m keen to remain optimistic about upcoming tvN drama Hotel Del Luna. Yes the Hong Sisters have failed now more than they have succeeded but the initial exciting rush of their unique ideas in many of their dramas makes it still worth giving a shot. The latest stills come in the form … Continue reading →
There are dramas I have a change of opinion and perhaps even merits a mea culpa of sorts. MBC Wed-Thurs drama Spring Night. I was really bored with the first two episodes but continued on because I quite like the performances of both leads Han Ji Min and Jung Hae In. I’m glad I continued because the story and directing … Continue reading →
There’s some happy news coming out of C-ent though it’s still rumor at this time. C-actress Zheng Shuang will reportedly tie the knot this coming October 2019 in Bali with her non-celebrity boyfriend of one year Zhang Heng. He’s a gaming company CEO so hardly a nobody but she’s got a string of actor boyfriend behind her so I guess … Continue reading →
A week after dropping bombshell divorce news to rock K-ent, it’s business as usual for actor Song Joong Ki as he balances the small and big screen careers. His currently airing sageuk Arthdal Chronicles will finish the second season soon, with a break in between with another drama before airing the third and final segment in August. Filming is all … Continue reading →
