Sometimes what’s said is so so bad it’s hard to apologize enough to walk back the permanent impression of how awful a person must be to have said it. The PD of upcoming drama Lovely Horribly is in hot water for a remark that was made on the filming of the drama where he was criticizing an unnamed female actress … Continue reading →
If I had my way all boy band members would enlist at the same time and keep their group careers on the same time line. For CNBlue band mates Kang Min Hyuk and Lee Jung Shin, they are doing that as both sign in for military service on July 31, 2018, a few months after lead Jung Yong Hwa enlisted. … Continue reading →
This Monday has three new K-drama premieres which caught me off guard since I’ve been on a Wed-Thurs Why Secretary Kim haze the last few weeks. First ups is major props to smaller cable network jTBC for breaking it’s own premiere record as medical drama Life with Lee Dong Wook and Jo Seung Woo which brought 4.334% which broke the … Continue reading →
Lovers of shoujo manga will really get a kick out of seeing Park Bo Young and Kim Young Kwang at the press conference for this upcoming rom-com film On Your Wedding Day. He is easily two feet taller than her and their chemistry is straight out of shouja manga he looks down adoringly and she gazes at him sweetly type. … Continue reading →
I think K-actor Jung Hae In will come to regret how he capped off an incredible acting year of projects and accolades with one final blip on his image. No one stays on top forever, or even for a prolonged period of time as plenty of popular then and now stars have experience once time moved on to next and … Continue reading →
For some reason I feel like KBS drama Are You Human Too has been airing for a long time in the Mon-Tues slot but it still has a few more weeks of run time before creepy rom-com successor Lovely Horribly arrives on August 13th. K-dramas usually has a creepy genre offering every August during the traditional lunar new year ghost … Continue reading →
At this point Jeon Ji Hyun has moved the needle on flawless, she even looks good when I don’t like her entire outfit lol! The actress and mother of two made a CF appearance this week looking like she swanned perfectly made up without a hair out of place. Of course she has an entire team of handlers to shellack … Continue reading →
K-pop idol are a dime-a-dozen but the latest YG Entertainment foursome girl group Black Pink truly deserve the moniker of the Girls of Summer 2018. They are the face of Sprite in South Korea this year and the ladies Jennie, Lisa, Ji Soo, and Rose were absolutely refreshing decked out in short shorts and cute green tops for the CF … Continue reading →
I don’t know which I have a harder time of believing – that it’s been twenty years (!) since the hit drama Princess Returning Pearl swept all the Mandarin-speaking territories, or that two of the leads Zhao Wei and Alec Su are in their forties and look even more beautiful and handsome (respectively) than during their acting prime back then. … Continue reading →
I’m legit blown away by tvN drama Why Secretary Kim not because it’s really the best drama ever but because it’s managed remain simply very very good for the near entirety of its airing. This past week’s episodes 13-14 sent the Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young lovebirds on an adult romance path (finally!) while not creating real roadblocks … Continue reading →
I tease K-actor Kang Dong Won all the time for having wickedly atrocious fashion sense at his movie premieres one after another but I actually appreciate that he’s so different and confident. Too bad many of the outre or couture menswear outfits he dons at media events just don’t work in real life whereas it actually gets pulled off when … Continue reading →
A new flagship store for a major fashion couture house is sure to get the stars in attendance and there were plenty of Taiwan entertainers at hand for the grand opening of the new Christian Dior boutique in Taipei. But it was Korean actress-singer Suzy that stole the limelight, proving yet again how big Hallyu is and how popular she … Continue reading →
I not ashamed to let out a cat whistle upon seeing Lee Jun Ki‘s latest pictorial for Cosmopolitan Korea magazine. Wow wee is the man quite a specimen of athletic prowess coupled with chiseled model good looks. It feels like he’s hitting another peak in his acting career, Lawless Lawyer was a return to his specialty of intense emotional projection … Continue reading →
