I’m ambivalent about Kim So Hyun‘s last drama Radio Romance, despite liking both the story and male lead Yoon Doo Joon the romance didn’t fully gel for me. She really works best playing female leads closer to her age, early twenties, and less full grown professionals in the workplace. Her next drama sounds a lot more suited to her, a … Continue reading →
I’m a sucker for a good group selfie and this is just adorable as the cast of weekend drama Let Me Introduce Her (About Her) showed off their brightest smiles and best knee bends for the ladies. Even better is how perfectly the cast is color and outfit coordinated, this was a concerted group effort to dress in different colors … Continue reading →
Dang, I’m so pleased and onboard with this drama casting, it’s like the drama gods are righting a major wrong from last time with Ha Ji Won. K-actor Jin Goo has been confirmed for the upcoming action spy drama Prometheus, which had Ha Ji Won signed on but was looking for a suitable leading man after Joo Ji Hoon passed … Continue reading →
All eyes on Hyun Bin lately have been for his filming on upcoming K-drama Memories of Alhambra, but I don’t want to lose sight of the arriving first fall 2018 Joseon thriller action flick Rampant (Outbreak). The movie follows Hyun Bin as a Joseon era prince who also happens to be a kickass martial arts expert, I guess one had … Continue reading →
It’s a proper conclusion to a K-ent scandal case for once. This week K-actor Lee Seo Won plead guilty in court to charges of sexual harassment and threatened assault of a female K-star. He faced the media outside the court and apologized for his behavior, accepted responsibility, but then said he didn’t remember what happened since he drank too much. … Continue reading →
The wheels are in motion for the upcoming pre-produced action K-drama Vagabond to either be a global hit or a worldwide bust. The production company Celltrion just signed a deal (complete with pictures, natch) with Sony to distribute the drama simultaneously in various countries when it airs in South Korea. It will air in the US and Japan for sure, … Continue reading →
This drama has the potential to be so good that it hurts to watch, and for a remake also feels remarkable suited to be done because the original is so long ago now that it visually looks dated. The J-dorama A Million Stars Falling From the Sky from 2002 starring Kimura Takuya will get a K-remake with leads Seo In … Continue reading →
When K-netizens are called out for being hyper critical it’s not surprising where they got it from since K-ent fans the flames. A Korean news publication reported this week on the background of actress Choi Ji Woo‘s husband and noted several reveals that got K-netizens tut-tut-ing in disapproval. It was stated in her wedding announcement that he was 9 years … Continue reading →
I hope the production of upcoming MBC Mon-Tues hospital-based drama Risky Romance spent all its money paying the cast salaries because it certainly didn’t spent any on production and graphic design. The drama stills were already rather flat but now the just released drama characters are just woefully bad. It’s like a kid in high school was given poorly photographed … Continue reading →
K-actor Park Seo Joon is riding super duper high on his career right now thanks to the hit rom-com Why Secretary Kim. Viewers are enjoying both the drama and his character so that’s a double win, not to mention being a first major ratings successful rom-com in god knows how many years when the mere mention of a drama being … Continue reading →
Bromance is alive and well in K-drama land as Gong Yoo sent a most adorable and perfectly Goblin-esque coffee truck to the set of Life starring Lee Dong Wook. The coffee truck was adorned with many banners and posters with snippy statements straight from the Goblin’s mouth to his bestie Grim Reaper. One says “Coffee, my treat first. 1:0. Who … Continue reading →
It’s a totally different main cast of three for the upcoming K-version of Absolute Boyfriend (Zettai Kareshi) but judging from the smiles and cheerful attitudes at the script reading the mood is certainly positive. Yeo Jin Goo will play the titular perfect boyfriend who happens top be a love robot, Minah is the girl who gets said robot and learns … Continue reading →
I’ve given Han Ji Min so much flack for her last drama that it’s only fitting in the drama karma sense to be feeling so conversely charmed by promos alone for her upcoming drama Knowing Wife (Familiar Wife). She looks so warm and carefree in these stills, I love the greenery in the background to make this drama feel alive. … Continue reading →
