I totally get the warm and fuzzies when I laid eyes on K-actress Lee Shi Young‘s just released wedding pictorial. She’s tying the knot this weekend with her fiancee and also baby daddy as the two are expecting their first child come early 2018. Nothing wrong with getting a head start and frankly the way he looks at her just … Continue reading →
With how hard Manhole (Wonderland’s Feels or Feels So Good) flopped recently on KBS Mon-Tues, there is a reasonable concern that similarly quirky rom-com feel upcoming tvN drama Revolutionary Love may be coming at a time without the audience for this type of drama fare. The two drama’s even have titles based on a pun of the male lead’s name, which of course … Continue reading →
The C-slang for a celebrity sighting in real life is spotting in the wild, which in safari context isn’t really in the wild since the navel gazer went to the animal’s habitat. But for celebrities it really is in the wild because stars live in the real world just like us plebeians and one never knows when a sighting could … Continue reading →
The wholly underwhelming run of the K-drama remake Criminal Minds finished this week, freeing the talented cast to do bigger and better things, or at least snap back to life from their somnambulant state of being for the last 8 weeks. To know that K-dramas is planning to remake Suits next just has me sighing over the pointlessness of doing something in … Continue reading →
K-actor Kim Soo Hyun‘s success has both hard work but also a measure of luck in choosing the right projects at the right time. If luck comes and goes then announcing his impending military enlistment right now is probably a very smart choice. His luck appeared to run out this year with the biggest K-movie box office bomb in quite … Continue reading →
Sorry for the late post on newly arrived SBS Wed-Thurs drama While You Were Sleeping but in between watching the first episode and then having tickets to Hamilton last night, it was a sensory and entertainment awesomeness overload. I love While You Were Sleeping, love love love it! This is the first drama since Goblin that has roped my excitement … Continue reading →
When I made a comment about C-actress Guli Nazha being really beautiful but also really really thin at the Fendi Milan fashion show last week, I did not think she would get a run for her money immediately. Then came Dilraba Dilmurat also in Milan for Dolce & Gabbana and she is also model lithe, but neither can hold … Continue reading →
The darkness is coming with OCN‘s fall offering Black, the short and concise title hopefully delivering in the effective tension and well-crafted narrative heft. A sleeking produced and executed K-drama can go some ways in making up for the any lack of acting proficiency in the cast which remains one of the unknowns with leads Song Seung Heon and Go … Continue reading →
An allergic to other humans man falls in love with a robot girl, or maybe not a robot based on the title I’m not sure, but this set up feels right up the alley of a shoujo manga from Japan. Japan did do the popular girl human and boy robot Zettai Kareshi which for a long time was bandied about … Continue reading →
If one likes warm and cozy then this is the pictorial and fashion trend for you. US brand Coach is draped all over Park Shin Hye in the latest fall fashion pictorial featured in the October issue of Elle Korea. It was photographed in Brooklyn, NY two weeks ago when Park Shin Hye was in town to attend the brand’s … Continue reading →
The cooling breeze of fall is perfectly captures in lifestyle shots of K-actor Gong Yoo in just released pictorial for Marie Claire Korea. He’s noticeably got fluffier locks, growing it out and looking just a smidge shy of being shaggy, which would be fine with me as well since he can pull off the ruffled look. These pictures look so … Continue reading →
SBS is fast turning into the network of medical and legal dramas, as those two genres have been by far the most successful offerings. There was a break with recently finished Reunited Worlds and starting this week While You Were Sleeping, but up next for SBS is a return to the legal genre with K-drama Dilemma. It was originally supposed … Continue reading →
When youth runs headlong into talent it’s hard for audiences to wait on the sidelines for the natural progression of experience to catch up. C-actor Wu Lei has been on a tear since his breakout teen role as the sidekick to Hu Ge‘s main character in Nirvana in Fire, a role he filmed when he was just 13 years old … Continue reading →
