I have no idea what the heck is going on with upcoming MBC drama W: Two Worlds, and in fact the teaser makes the whole strange concept even stranger, but I think I’m already in love with this latest iteration of Lee Jong Seok‘s onscreen persona. I know his Dr. Stranger was just awful beyond ridiculous but he played the … Continue reading →
I feel like life always has a way of smoothing things out in the long run in terms of equal share give and take. TW-actress Michelle Chen was probably thinking it was the worst decision in her life to accept the role of iconic ice princess leading lady Xiaolongnu in wuxia drama Return of the Condor Heroes after she was … Continue reading →
Holy moly is this terrible entertainment news to report on, yet again since it’s the worst case of deja vu. I like Yoochun a lot, like so much ever since The Girl Who Sees Smells no matter how wonky that drama was narratively as a crime caper. But liking an actor or actress onscreen doesn’t inure me to covering their … Continue reading →
Well, this certainly is a nice way to amp up excitement for upcoming SBS Mon-Tues drama Doctors, not that I personally need anymore flame fanning since I’m already super stoked. The first stills are out of Ji Soo playing a supporting role, more like a guest starring turn, playing an important someone in female lead Park Shin Hye‘s character Hye … Continue reading →
The pretties of Chinese-Korean caper movie Bounty Hunters is ready for the cat and mouse game come its July 1st premiere date, and they got an early head start attending the star-studded Shanghai Film Festival. Starring Lee Min Ho, Wallace Chung, Tang Yan, Karena Ng, Jones Xu and Louis Fan, the final set of movie posters and trailer was released … Continue reading →
I see major flashbacks to Park Shin Hye‘s last drama Pinocchio, and it’s not something I sensed in early previews for Doctors but I totally sense it now with the official drama posters. It’s not a bad sort of flashback since I loved Pinocchio and also loved the posters, it just feels lazy that same network SBS resorted to such … Continue reading →
Though it looks like for upcoming tvN supernatural drama Let’s Fight Ghost Taecyeon doesn’t have the reddish tinted hair he sported in Who Are You, which made him look considerably younger, the buzz cut and young man clothing choices still work to bring him closer to 20 than to his real age of nearer to 30. It was Kim So Hyun‘s … Continue reading →
The onscreen face-off of Park Shin Hye and Lee Sung Kyung in Doctors takes shape in the latest drama stills from the arriving soon Mon-Tues SBS drama. Looks like they are friends back in the high school days, and in the present turn into colleagues in the neurosurgery department of the same hospital. First loves in Hallyu dramas are overplayed … Continue reading →
I couldn’t be more thrilled that Lee Dong Wook is now confirmed to be joining Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun in screenwriter Kim Eun Sook‘s upcoming tvN fantasy drama Goblin. There was basically a 99.9% change he wouldn’t do it, and these days no Korean actor or actress in their right career mind would turn down a Kim Eun … Continue reading →
The sure to be adorable college setting modern C-drama One Smile is Very Alluring (微微一笑很倾城 Wel Wei Yi Xiao Hen Qing Cheng) is gearing up for its highly anticipated summer 2016 airing. Starring Yang Yang and Zheng Shuang, the drama is less about opposites attract then about two seemingly perfect yet flawed specimens finding a soulmate in each other. Based on … Continue reading →
With the addition of one name I’m suddenly interested in upcoming KBS weekend drama Laurel Tree Tailors. If Lee Dong Gun is coming back to a major network drama then it’s definitely worth checking out, even if his post military services drama Marry Him If You Dare and Super Daddy Yul have both been abysmally bad I still have hope … Continue reading →
The K-ent besties brigade and the general entertainment six degrees of separation took a star-studded turn this past week. First came the Baeksang Awards back stage selfie of Park Bo Gum hanging out with his sunbaes and huge Hallyu stars Song Joong Ki, Yoo Ah In, and Song Hye Kyo. Talk about palling around with the uber famous, though Park … Continue reading →
It’s worth a reminder that upcoming K-drama Beautiful Mind had a long and arduous journey to becoming a reality, because I’m loving all the promos so far but don’t want to be too optimistic and discount the early warning signs. This drama was formerly Dr. Frankenstein, the multiple personality drama that courted Kim Soo Hyun in late 2016 and last … Continue reading →
