This Wednesday is going to go down as one of the wildest K-drama casting news bonanzas in a long time. It was just missing an out-of-the-blue shocker to cap the crazy, like Won Bin was doing a drama with Jeon Ji Hyun and Lee Min Ho was the baddie or something like that. The Hong sisters drama Feeling Good and … Continue reading →
I’m so ready to say goodbye to Hyde, Jekyll, Me, but totally not ready to say goodbye to seeing Hyun Bin on the small screen. That’s the same feeling that leads me to love Seo Jin but feel nothing for Robin, so I guess it’s fitting what with this drama being all about a man suffering from DID. Episode 19 … Continue reading →
I’ll believe this latest drama casting news when the actual dramas airs and not a moment before that. With that said, all the news portals are reporting this casting as confirmed so let’s go with that for the time being. Original Hallyu superstar actress Lee Young Ae, she of the titular saeguk drama Dae Jang Geum which remains the most watched … Continue reading →
Drama casting is on a roll today so I might as well soldier on. Let’s go a bit older and a whole lot sexier when it comes to this latest drama coupling. With the jTBC sageuk Maids wrapping up soon, to be followed in that time slot by the Jung Kyung Ho and Kim So Yeon heart transplant romance Falling … Continue reading →
What is going on with drama casting news today? I’m exhausted already and am only halfway through the drama news that’s come out in the last few hours alone. All the Chilbongie fans from Answer Me 1994 can start preparing to rejoice soon – Yoo Yeon Seok has been confirmed as the male lead for the Hong sisters upcoming rom-com Feeling Good … Continue reading →
Oh %*#&! This casting news makes the earlier news of Changmin possibly doing his first sageuk role with Scholar Who Walks the Night sound like a brilliant casting coup. Hyeri of dol group Girl’s Day is reportedly in talks for the female lead of upcoming tvN drama Answer Me 1988, the third drama in the popular Answer Me series. The AN series isn’t known … Continue reading →
This casting news makes me laugh in both anticipation of the pretty and lulz factor in equal measure. MBC‘s upcoming vampire fantasy sageuk Scholar Who Walks the Night has offered the second male lead role to Changmin of DBSK. The original DBSK-5 is arguably one of the most talented and bestselling K-pop boybands of all time, but they have always … Continue reading →
Looks like The Girl Who Sees Smells will be piling on the sibling cuteness before ripping our hearts out. Since the drama has made it very clear from all plot and character synopsis that male lead Yoochun‘s character loses his little sister to a serial killer attack at the beginning of the drama, leading to his character being unable to … Continue reading →
The wait is starting to feel interminable for the arrival of Let’s Eat 2. This is one drama where I love the cast and love the story concept equally. Yoon Doo Joon reprises his character from the original Let’s Eat and moves to another city to embark on another foodie adventure with like-minded and less food obsessed folks. Seo Hyun … Continue reading →
Erm, is anyone else worried that Who Are You: School 2015 having casting troubles may portend bigger problems behind the scenes, beyond the general casting roulette that goes on with almost every single drama production whether the public hears about it or not. While recent hard-to-cast DID drama Kill Me Heal Me proved that nothing was wrong with the script, … Continue reading →
Welp, you win some and you lose some, I can’t always get my way when it comes to dramas casting my fave lovelies. The good news first – Kim Bum is returning to K-dramas come early summer as he joins the cast of upcoming tvN crime procedural Hidden Identity. It will be his first drama in two years, not since … Continue reading →
I’ve totally got my serious hat on to prepare myself for the upcoming 50-episode MBC sageuk Splendid Politics (Hwajung). I’m glad MBC stuck with the original title of Splendid Politics rather than the alternate Princess Jungmyung, based on the storyboard the drama appears to be focused on Cha Seung Won‘s anti-hero Gwanghaegun rise to power moreso than Lee Yeon Hee‘s Princess Jungmyung. The … Continue reading →
The most famous example in K-ent where the second lead wins the heart of the main lead in real life after losing out in the drama remains Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young. He was paired up with Eugene for Save the Last Dance for Me while she was the batshit crazy second female lead who couldn’t let him go. … Continue reading →
