The doctor is here. Oh wait, I mean the lawyer is here. Nope, it’s actually both, the Doctor Lawyer arrives on MBC Fri-Sat time slot on May 27th following Tomorrow ready to treat both ailments and legal transgressions. Putting aside the logistical absurdity of the premise – that a top surgeon who goes to jail after medical malpractice and loses … Continue reading →
This drama will likely get a fancy new English title closer to the premiere but the Korean titled KBS drama Minamdang, adapted from the webtoon Minanmdang: Case Note with the title referring to the name of a cafe that is called Flower (Handsome) Boy Cafe. The first still is out to start the week with male lead Seo In Guk … Continue reading →
The early year buzzy weekend K-dramas have transformed into quieter introspective dramas for the spring into the early summer and one of the most lauded has been jTBC Sat-Sun drama My Liberation Notes (My Liberation Diary). It started with 2.941% ratings and has been steadily going up and this Sunday’s most recent episode 12 nearly broke 5% with a new … Continue reading →

Top C-actress Crystal Liu who rose to fame as Xiaolongnu in the 2006 C-drama adaptation of Return of the Condor Heroes and has sense gotten worldwide projects will be making her first C-drama return since then. She was supposed to be back in 2018 with … Continue reading →
Additional goodies dropped this weekend for upcoming tvN fantasy sageuk Alchemy of Souls, the Korean title is Return and I’ve also earlier seen it called Soul Marriage. I love love love the English title, literary and unique and actually captures the central plot of the drama – that souls from a previous life come back again and create complications. Okay, is this like a K-drama inspired Meet Joe Black, which is itself inspired by Death Takes a Holiday? Because that works but please stay away from anything resembling Doom at Your Service (One Day, Destruction Came to My Door). A K-drama is in the works called Season of Kkok Du, telling the tale of a Grim Reaper who must … Continue reading →
This may end up being the highlight of this drama, lol, what with the complete disappointment so far in not getting either ratings or buzz. tvN Fri-Sat entertainment industry drama Shooting Star (or Sh**ting Stars) started with ratings of 1.632% and has stayed in that range with a slow slide even with the most recent episode 7 dropping to a … Continue reading →
This is such a smart move and one that I really believed he should take if he wanted to slowly return to acting. It’s based on a true story of two friends Simon Yates and Joe Simpson … Continue reading →
This drama is clearly not going to get a lot of buzz or even views since it’s airing exclusively on Disney+ so it’s really for viewers like me who love all the leads and also love a good adult aged rom-com. Kiss Sixth Sense will drop on May 25th starring Yoon Kye Sang, Seo Ji Hye, and Kim Ji Suk … Continue reading →
I feel like some actors or actresses are in one project after another while others infrequently produce new fare. K-actress Moon Ga Young is one of those back-to-back-to-back and beyond actresses and with her upcoming Link she’s now signed on for another drama the romance Understanding of Love. And before that she had True Beauty and that followed Find Me … Continue reading →

K-actress Kim Da Mi debuted in 2017 with small roles in two movies before landing her break as the relative unknown female lead in horror supernatural thriller The Witch: Part 1: The Subversion. So it make sense that the upcoming sequel The Witch: Part 2: The Other One will also feature a total unknown as the female lead, her name … Continue reading →
So the promo circuit is starting off a bit late for upcoming SBS Fri-Sat drama Why Her (Why Oh Soo Jae) but better later than never because it looks really intriguing. Starring Seo Hyun Jin, Hwang In Yeop, and Bae In Hyuk, the initial synopsis made it seem like yet another awkward female teacher-male student taboo type romance but the … Continue reading →
