Looks like tvN procedural drama Memorist will be much action packed that I thought. The new poster and teasers confirm that male lead Yoo Seung Ho is the act first type, using his powers of reading the memory of anyone he touches to beat up confirmed bad dudes first before even following police protocol. Not sure how he’ll keep that … Continue reading →
The US movie 17 Again was surprisingly good and I can totally see K-dramas doing so much more with the longer running time that I’m excited for this upcoming remake. 18 Again has confirmed leads Kim Ha Neul and Yoon Sang Hyun as married couple in their late 30s when a pending divorce leads the hubby to a chance return … Continue reading →
There are so many late winter/early spring K-dramas that are banking on the pairing of young visuals actors and actresses to create chemistry and sell a story. Upcoming tvN romance A Piece of Your Mind (Half of a Half) feels like the story won’t be nearly as important as how leads Jung Hae In and Chae Soo Bin bring their … Continue reading →
I totally forgot there was a drama coming up where idol-actor L (Kim Myung Soo) was playing a cat who transforms into a human. He’s the human version, of course, though I totally want to see the cute white cat used in the drama as well. He’s starring opposite Shin Ye Eun in the KBS drama Welcome based on a … Continue reading →
I don’t think this is the last we’ll see of the titular Romantic Teacher and he’s definitely earned his dues. The SBS medical drama Romantic Teacher, Doctor Kim 2 ended it’s run this Tuesday with a final episode high ratings of 27.1%. The average ratings for the entire run was 18.4% which is high nowadays for prime time dramas and … Continue reading →
I’m surprised K-drama didn’t adapt this yet into a television format but J-ent is taking a first crack at moving popular Korean young cops movie Midnight Runners onto the small screen. The J-dorama adaptation called Miman Keisatsu: Midnight Runner will arrive in April 2020 with leads Nakajima Kento of idol group Sexy Zone and King & Prince’s Hirano Sho, who … Continue reading →
The timing of this High Cut photo shoot is like four months too late but these two are adorable here so I certainly enjoyed it. K-actress Kim Hye Yoon and idol-actor Ro Woon are back together again after playing the fantasy OTP in high school drama Extraordinary You. They actually look like they walked out of that drama as high … Continue reading →
This movie looks too freaky for my tastes now which go towards warm and fuzzy rather than scary and nerve wracking. It’s only that Park Shin Hye is the female lead of thriller movie Call that gets me interested to see her doing a dark and dangerous role. She plays a modern day woman who connects on the phone with … Continue reading →
There is a whole lot of melancholy wrapped in comforting warmth in the poster and long preview for upcoming jTBC romance When the Weather is Fine. Park Min Young returns to the countryside hometown of her high school days, escaping the fast paced life of Seoul for a place with both happy and painful memories. She reunites with high school … Continue reading →
This is not a bad thing to have, ratings return all over K-drama airing so much so that a small cable network drama like jTBC success story Itaewon Class getting 12% ratings by week four seems like business as usual. Episode 5 got 12.289% and episode 6 increased slightly to 12.562%, with audience feedback still highly positive for this underdog … Continue reading →
All black isn’t boring in the least on K-actress Song Hye Kyo this week as she made her appearance in Milan. She attended the Bottega Veneta fashion show and shared pictures on her SNS account that truly turned heads. Her hair seemed simple with flowing long locks but the middle part and slight wave paired with a fitted suit dress … Continue reading →
Looks like staying on a train won’t save anyone anymore as the fictional zombie apocalypse has spread in the upcoming Peninsula. The movie is the direct sequel to hit 2016 movie Train to Busan which started a resurgence in Gong Yoo‘s career and breathed new life into the zombie genre. Without giving specifics away, clearly not every main lead for … Continue reading →
Five years into a low key marriage, TW-actress Ariel Lin continues to shine brightly as an actress and live the life she wants outside of her acting career. She has taken study sabbaticals, plenty of vacations with friends and husband, and just genuinely exudes the quiet happiness of someone who knows how to love life. She was on the cover … Continue reading →
