The teasers for Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter are all so cute, bright and cheerful I wonder why the leads didn’t bring the same mood to the press conference held this week. Everyone was dressed so fuddy duddy especially lead actress Moon Chae Won. Her dress is a dizzying sack and her shoes must be burned I loath the V-cut … Continue reading →
The return of Park Shi Hoo back to the small screen has not gone from who would cast him to a certain nonchalance that he’s getting another project. Basically K-ent made it frequent enough that now it feels normal that he’s getting yet another role, this next one on cable network TV Chosun in the legal thriller romance called Babel. … Continue reading →
I like what the poster designer was going for in the two official posters for tvN fantasy romance drama Memories of Alhambra but am peeved that the execution wasn’t up to par. The drama has a fantasy element after the two leads meeting in Spain and the posters foreshadow the strange phenomenon befalling the two leads. One poster shows the … Continue reading →
I know so many people who can date themselves by which drama version of a Louis Cha (Jin Yong) novel adaptation they consider the best, which is usually the first one they watched and couldn’t stop watching thereby becoming a fan for life. Someone born in the 70’s grew up with the TBV iconic 80’s versions, those born in the … Continue reading →
It took me a little longer than usual to write about recently wrapped Mon-Tues tvN sageuk romance drama 100 Days My Prince (Dear Husband of 100 Days) and not for lack of success of this drama. The series ended with a time slot high of 14.412% and also on average is the fourth highest rated tvN drama of all time … Continue reading →
Today is Wednesday October 31, Halloween for those celebrating and also the premiere date of new Wed-Thurs cable drama Fluttering Warning on MBN. It probably wouldn’t have gotten as much press but for starring famous drama leads Yoon Eun Hye and Chun Jung Myung. I’m there for the cutie pies and also for the classic Hallyu fake relationship between top … Continue reading →
I love gorgeous stars and throwback fashion, and when the two are combined together it’s too pretty not to share. The Chinese actresses are still hewing closer to retaining their own individuality and unique beauty rather than converging towards a homogenized norm that is happening too much in K-ent, and with the different types comes more creativity in pictorials. I … Continue reading →
The second half of is chock full of news and new projects with the current IT crop of grown up famous Korean drama child actresses. We have Nam Ji Hyun in cable hit 100 Days My Prince, Kim Yoo Jung returning in jTBC drama Clean With Passion For Now, and news that Kim Sae Ron is considering the second season … Continue reading →
There aren’t a lot of pictures from Tang Yan and Luo Jin‘s Sunday October 28th wedding in Vienna, Austria, guests were not allowed to bring cell phones or cameras and given instant cameras at the event instead. Reportedly the ceremony picture and video rights have been taken by a major Chinese broadcaster. A few pre-wedding pictures and location snaps have … Continue reading →
I can’t believe it’s been 15 years since K-actress Nam Ji Hyun debuted in the early Hallyu says as one of the child actress wunderkinds. She’s navigated the path to adulthood both in her personal and professional life with grace and smarts, never getting into any scandals and always picking worthwhile projects. Her first adult role in the ensemble weekender … Continue reading →
K-actress Jeon Jin Hyun made an appearance at the Stonehenge jewelry brand event and it was a case of the model overshadowing the merchandise. Covering this perennially stylish actress provides cues to aging gracefully – pick a look that works and stick with it and do so with confidence and impeccable fashion taste. Without the latter it just looks stale … Continue reading →
I am on the spectrum closer to OCD than comfortable mess so it’s going to be an uphill battle for me to like the female lead in upcoming jTBC drama Clean With Passion For Now. If her journey towards love also includes a journey to improving her hygiene and tidy living habits that’ll be a double reason to watch. I’ll … Continue reading →
The lamentation of Dramafever’s demise has brought about memories of falling down the K-drama rabbit hole and mine was Song Seung Heon. Back when I didn’t realize he was such a limited actor I was inexplicably hooked by him in Autumn in My Heart, still my guiltiest of guilty pleasures. I mean, they weren’t actually brother and sister, so it’s … Continue reading →
