Usually a fan goes from reel to real, watching a drama or movie OTP and wishing they would get together in real life. This might be the first case of real to reel, watching a real life set of maybe soul mates and definite best friends finally cross that line solely onscreen but delivering plenty of catharsis for a twenty plus year … Continue reading →
I may be in the minority when it comes to anticipating the hotly awaited live-action movie version of the hit manga Attack on Titan. I find everything about it awesome so far in all the previews and casting, from pretty boy Miura Haruma as lead character Eren Yaeger on down. I come from the premise that it’s nigh impossible to … Continue reading →
I remain massively conflicted about upcoming Chinese-Korean movie After Love. On one hand it stars Yoon Eun Hye, one of my favorite actresses from any industry. On the other hand it also stars Park Shi Hoo, an actor I was mostly indifferent to in the past and now am positively not ready to watch him act onscreen anytime soon. In weighing … Continue reading →
Upcoming C-movie Go Lala Go 2 just upped the stakes majorly with the first look at the competition for leading lady Lala’s heart. Starring Ariel Lin, Vic Zhou, Bolin Chen, Michelle Chen, and Nana, the movie is a sequel to the hit film a few years back and both are based on a series of same name popular chick lit … Continue reading →
Casting is firming up for upcoming big-budget Chinese-Korean joint produced movie Bounty Hunter, but beyond the two popular male leads I’m not sure anything else is needed to lure in the eyeballs. This movie made the news last week for being Hallyu superstar Lee Min Ho‘s comeback project for 2015, and may or may not be his last work prior … Continue reading →
This legal entertainment news is too hilarious and bizarre not to share, even better is combining it with a substantive post about an upcoming movie. Top C-actress Zhao Wei is in the midst of filming a gritty HK-movie with famed director Johnny To called Three, opposite two equally famous HK actors Louis Koo and Wallace Chung. The movie is a … Continue reading →
Filming is long underway for the Chinese movie Go Lala Go!, the sequel to the hit movie of the same name based on a popular Chinese chick lit novel. It’s a different cast this time filled to the brim with award winning Taiwan acting talent, with Ariel Lin as the titular office girl Lala trying to balance work and love, Vic … Continue reading →
With one of the two most popular Hallyu male actors already on screen with his comeback project, that being Kim Soo Hyun charming audiences with his adorable and earnest performance in the currently airing KBS drama Producer, all eyes have been on when and what Lee Min Ho would do for his next gig. The wait is over as Lee Min Ho’s agency … Continue reading →
There’s no premiere date locked down yet but it’s a wrap already for Chinese-Korean joint produced movie The Bad Guy Must Die. The title is just awful any way I look at it, but it’s particularly weird considering this is a movie best described as a mash up of roadtripping bromance, romance, and suspense. Early interest in the movie stems … Continue reading →
If real life best friends for over twenty years Zhao Wei and Huang Xiaoming won’t ever marry each other, then at least they’ll always have matching side-by-side hand prints encased in concrete forever. Zhao Wei has been married for 5 years while Huang Xiaoming recently got hitched to now wifey Angelababy, which makes their upcoming first acting project together seem … Continue reading →
Gotta give credit to upcoming K-movie Beauty Inside for coming up with movie posters that explain the story conceit and look good while doing it. A man named Woo Jin who finds himself waking up every day looking like someone else, crossing genders and age groups willy nilly. It’s a crazy problem to be sure, made all the worse when he … Continue reading →
It’s no secret that filming in China can appear to move at super sonic speed at times, even then I’m still taken aback at how quickly projects go from commencement of filming to releasing teaser goodies for the audience. Filming started not two weeks ago for the C-movie Go Lala Go 2, the sequel to the hit rom-com Go Lala … Continue reading →
The 68th Cannes Film Festival came to a close this past weekend and the film with one if the biggest buzz walked away with one but not all the major awards. Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao Hsien‘s first wuxia movie The Assassins starring Shu Qi and Chang Chen didn’t win the Palm D’or but finally netted Hou his long overdue Best … Continue reading →
