Seeing the official stills of all the leads in the upcoming Lovers of Music (Trot Lovers) makes me want to yell “Avengers Assemble”, with music lovers substituting for Avengers of course. It’s just three weeks away from the premiere of what is billed as a musical rom-com success story starring Ji Hyun Woo, Jung Eun Ji, Shin Sung Rok, Lee … Continue reading →
The famous K-drama onscreen couples reunion of 2014 continues on with the totally unexpected but super awesome casting of Choi Ji Woo to reunite with her Stairway to Heaven co-star Kwon Sang Woo for the upcoming melodrama Temptation. Their reunion didn’t drag out as long as the two Jangs (Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara) who took over twelve years from … Continue reading →
What else can be said about Dr. Stranger as it wraps up the first 10-episodes of its run other than “hang in there everyone, we need the energy and strength because there is 10 more episodes of this out-of-control cat to wrangle!” This drama really has turned into a howling, seething, crazy cat on uppers that refuses to settle down … Continue reading →
Yoon Eun Hye has been in the news a lot recently which is good since it’s all about her upcoming projects. More Yoon Eun Hye on my screen is much appreciated. I get she needs to rest and recharge but I’m still waiting for her to deliver an amazing movie or drama with a story that is as good as … Continue reading →
It took the adorable and silly as all heck Perfect Couple for me to finally like Tang Yan. Heck, better late than never, right? She’s also one of the luckiest C-actresses around with her leading man harem in her drama oeuvre filled with my fave guys. Putting aside her fantabulous chemistry with Wallace Huo that’s already two dramas strong with … Continue reading →
The upcoming Korean remake of the popular TW-drama Fated to Love You is going to live and die by the chemistry of the leads. A lot of viewers already know the story from watching the original or hearing about it so the narrative won’t be hook enough to lure audience to keep watching. Plus even if someone is newbie to … Continue reading →
Don’t expect me to try and explain what just happened in episode 9 of Dr. Stranger. Have some majorly hot kissing instead! DS may have jumped the shark, or it may simply have sunk under the weight of its own increased levels of crazy, I’m not quite sure which one yet. This was one episode that made my head spin … Continue reading →
I would prefer Michelle Chen stick with modern movies, she’s not bad in stuff like You Are the Apple of My Eye and Badges of Fury, but put her in period movie fare like Ripples of Desire or on the small screen in any drama such as Channel X and Wish to See You Again and she makes me cringe. … Continue reading →
Holy moly is the first official teaser poster for the upcoming KBS sageuk Joseon Gunman glorious beyond belief. It definitely looks more like a movie poster than the typical drama fare that tends to stick the big face of the lead (or all four leads) on a page and call it a day. The man in the poster wearing a Joseon … Continue reading →
This chapter has an incredible scene involving Xiao Yao, Xiang Liu, and Jing. We need more scenes like this. I felt like Once Promised was always about the big picture in both novel construct and story perspective. The battles between the three Godly kingdoms, the grand and epic love between Xiao Yao’s parents, all the various princes and princesses struggling between … Continue reading →
I don’t always follow an actor or actress’s career from the very beginning and most of the time I randomly fall for a performance and then go back to catch up on his or her oeuvre. It’s by sheer happenstance that I’ve actually had the pain/pleasure/weirdness of watching Jin Se Yeon‘s entire acting career from her very first debut in … Continue reading →
The most critically anticipated TW-drama of the year is premiering this Sunday on FTV and from all the promotional materials looks as good as the talented cast and production team assembled. Director Winnie (It Started with a Kiss, The Rose, In Time with You) is coming back with his biggest drama to date in terms of cost and pre-planning in the … Continue reading →
I think shippers of the drama acting pairing of Matsumoto Jun and Inoue Mao may really want to consider shopping for imaginary wedding presents for them. Recently the Japanese tabloids claimed that the couple had been dating for quite some time, which wasn’t out-of-the-blue since fans had long collected evidence of their secret relationship. Then came a follow up tabloid … Continue reading →
