SBS wrapped up Three Days with Yoochun this week, got ready to launch You’re All Surrounded with Lee Seung Gi and Cha Seung Won next week, and also quietly started filming for It’s Okay, It’s Love starring Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin. Both of the leads had well-received and successful SBS dramas last years with co-stars that most … Continue reading →
I read the In a Good Way novelization published a few weeks ago and am super pleased to confirm that the drama version is deviating significantly than the novel ending sequence, especially concerning Jia En and Liu Chuan. I am still so satisfied with their per episode non-stop skinship and consistently building emotional foundation for each other. Episode 24’s arrival means … Continue reading →
http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z392/Jomo143/sla12/lookbacktrest_zps6b7f1a8d.png A somber week in the real world parallels the sadness that Episodes 11 and 12 deliver. I search for any hints to satisfy my optimistic view of things, and I may have found a glint or two of hope. All along, Sun Jae has held his lantern high trying to show Hye Won the way out of her darkness. … Continue reading →
While In a Good Way still has a few episodes remaining to air, the cast of the drama has reached the end of the road and it’s time to part ways. The adorable and wonderful cast of IAGW wrapped filming last week and this week held a much deserved wrap party with SETTV footing the celebration bill. Everyone showed up … Continue reading →
It’s been decidedly quiet on the enlistment front these days but there have been plenty of murmurings about who is heading off to the army soon. Two of my guys are currently in the army and Yoo Seung Ho won’t be released until December while Song Joong Ki doesn’t come out until early 2015. A talented male actor is coming … Continue reading →
I find myself quite enamored of the very direct title of Secret Love Affair for this drama because of how the English title stands on its own broken up into each individual word. There is a secret in this drama, not just one but so many and multi-layered and overlapping I can’t keep track of it all. Secrets are for things … Continue reading →
I distinctly remember wishing that the cast attending drama press conferences would wear the simple uniform of well-tailored conservative suits and classy ladylike dresses. That was during a period when each successive drama press conference delivered increasingly amount of WTF eyesore fashion assassination. It’s a little sobering to see the last three drama press conferences this week for Dr. Stranger, … Continue reading →
This is the chapter in Lost You Forever where the shit hits the fan for Xiao Yao and Jing. It’s high time these two faced the enormity of the pressures against them getting together rather than stubbornly cling to the hope that Jing can just somehow make it happen. I think Jing’s intelligence is no less than Zhuan Xu or … Continue reading →
I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s safe to watch Big Man airing on KBS Mon-Tues. The central premise is so ridiculous the entire drama almost sinks under it by the end of episode 1, but episode 2 turns it all around big time and suddenly all bets are off. It’s such a delight to watch … Continue reading →
I love Kim Myung Min’s acting and in dramas alone he’s tackled so many indelible archetypes and made each on completely different. It’s high time he’s played a lawyer and tomorrow MBC premieres it’s transformed-man-legal-drama A New Leaf (Repentance). Co-starring Park Min Young, Kim Sang Joong, Chae Jung Ahn, and fresh off Empress Ki playing fan favorite Tal Tal Jin Yi Han, … Continue reading →
Okay, I’m totally ready for my allergy to Lee Jong Seok to get cured. Not sure it will, but if it happens after I watch Dr. Stranger then so be it. I still think he looks weird but I’m quite liking his character in this drama and a good character plus performance can always win me over. The production of … Continue reading →
I was traveling this past weekend so couldn’t get to episode 23 of In a Good Way until now which was a good thing. The drama is still very lovely but noticeably lacks the sparkle that would keep a viewer riveted to the screen. What sustains the pleasurable hour spent with it is the feeling of comfort and consistency. I … Continue reading →
There was a veritable drama promotional dump today as four of the most high profile upcoming K-dramas all released official drama posters. Well, Dr. Stranger released a few already but decided to throw one more in the mix. The latest one is actually quite interesting and visually nice to look at with a paint splatter look so the more and merrier, … Continue reading →
