I just had one of the most memorable dinners ever, capped off with a bottle of Opus One (so good I could cry), but I swear my evening got even better when I came home to find these pictures exploding off DC Gall. Lee Min Jung posted the latest spoiler pictures from Big, so be forewarned that it isn’t exactly … Continue reading →
There is so much pretty in King of Lan Ling that I’m flailing from the want. This drama started filming a scant few months ago, but the production appears to have its shit together because a 3-minute official trailer was just released (on the heels of 7-minutes of footage shown at the Shanghai Film Festival last week – the official … Continue reading →
Lee Min Jung and Gong Yoo held a live chat on Me2Day with the fans of Big yesterday, though the conversation ended up being more about food than the drama. Both of them appear to have very lively and playful personalities when chatting online, and I can just imagine the fun all around on the set of the drama. Despite … Continue reading →
So the first teaser video and posters are out for the upcoming period C-drama Bride with White Hair starring Nicky Wu and Ma Su. I have to say that the action doesn’t look as bad as I worried it might, but the first set of posters need to be burned. It’s like horrific CGI wax figures. I feel bad for … Continue reading →
Well, the most I can say is that at least Tangren found a real pair of pigeons to play Xiao Tao and Xian Cian in the currently filming drama adaptation of Da Mo Yao. Unfortunately Brother Wolf and the desert wolf pack won’t be nearly as realistic, though it won’t be going the CGI route. Just as I expected, a bunch … Continue reading →
Waiting for new episodes of Big is like a drip drip water torture, but good news is that KBS hasn’t been stingy in releasing information about the drama. Recently there has been lots of BTS stills released, and many of them show the actors hard at work studying the script of goofing off. The vibe is decidedly animated and happy, … Continue reading →
I really can’t figure out China’s fascination with Qiong Yao. I think Taiwan has finally said sayonara to her, but the C-media still loves to revere her as some goddess of romance dramas. I loved her stuff from the 80s and early 90s, because that sort of family makjang fare was great family watching experience and good for tons of … Continue reading →
So Vic Zhou turned 31 last week, and with it comes the first visual confirmation that he is in fact dating his Black & White co-star Reen Yu. The tabloids have been buzzing that Zai Zai was Reen’s boyfriend since earlier this year when she was overheard talking about her boyfriend, an A-list actor who drove a blue Ferrari. When … Continue reading →
After percolating for the past year, SM Entertainment has finally finalized the cast for its adaptation of Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (Hana Kimi) which is called To the Beautiful You. The cast is a combination of two idols in the lead, Sulli from f(x) playing the role of Ashiya Mizuki and Minho from SHINee as Sano Izumi, plus two young actors … Continue reading →
Next week is the premiere of SETTV‘s new 9 pm daily drama called Gong Hay Fat Choy (if you’re Cantonese, I don’t need to explain this to you). The Chinese title is 我們發財了 (literal translation is we got rich), and the English translation is the Cantonese greeting during Chinese New Year wishing folks prosperity and wealth (means congratulations on getting … Continue reading →
First off – what’s with the repeated and constant speculation that Kyung Joon is Yoon Jae’s son? Please check the character chart before launching into such ridiculousness, because the dudes are twelve years apart. So unless we’re going into Kanon territory here, Yoon Jae didn’t impregnate a lady when he was 11 (plus the gestational 10 month, no?). I’m having … Continue reading →
I’m not sure why tvN scheduled a week break between the end of Queen In Hyun’s Man and the premiere of its follow up drama I Need Romance 2012, but that just leaves us with another week until INR2 hits the screens. Starring quirky and loveable Jung Yumi, stiff and charming Lee Jin Wook, and rascally Kim Ji Seok, INR2 … Continue reading →
I keep watching the end of episode 4 of Big over and over again. Kyung Jae’s run to stop Da Ran from using the key was so heartwarming and sweet, but I finally get to applaud Da Ran for stepping up and confronting hard truths. I get that she’s dense, trusting, and rather naive, but at least now I know … Continue reading →
