Okay, the number of potential crack K-drama is actually expanding exponentially. My list went from 1 to 2, and then overnight from 2 to 4. What is this, did anyone feed the Gremlins after midnight? I was iffy on Big after seeing just the individual stills of Lee Min Jung and Gong Yoo, but like an overeager puppy, the second … Continue reading →
Oh oh oh, I can’t breathe. To think that the last few episodes, with bombs and selection draws and engagement on the line stakes, was actually a breather before the shit really hit the fan. This episode left me flailing on the floor gasping “no, no, noooooo” all the while watching Jae Ha pretty much take an emotional train to … Continue reading →
I’m so onboard with I Need Romance 2 its not even funny. Despite the abysmal track record of K-dramas with sequels (Dream High 2 anyone?), I think this will work because its merely taking the same modern dating concepts with a new cast and new love lines. I would prefer is Lee Jin Wook‘s boyfriend character wasn’t a cheating cheater … Continue reading →
Damn you, Kim Eun Sook! *Shakes fists* How dare you make me want you again, you heartless scribe! After my excruciating experience with Secret Garden (where I went from rabid with want before it even aired and took a straight shot to hell with that drama by the end), I was so ready to write this lady off despite her … Continue reading →
I understand that the WOC arc in The King 2 Hearts may be a bit rough to keep our interest, and much too elementary to pose any genuine thrills. The Avengers would be the same old soulless smashing of villains akin to a Transformers type big budget circus if we didn’t care about the characters, but because Marvel spent years … Continue reading →
The King 2 Hearts rocks. It might even roll, but then again, that’s why so many people are addicted to a twice a week dose of action and romance in equal measures. The WOC arc finally ends in episode 15, and I foresee the royal family will be dealing with Bong Goo for good in the remaining episodes. Despite the … Continue reading →
Ella had her real life version of We Got Married this past weekend in Taipei to her Malaysian-Chinese fiancée Alvin Lai. It was a star-studded lavish affair that officially takes Ella off the market, leaving Hebe Tian as the only S.H.E. member still single. Get on it, Hebe! I love how the three girls are genuinely good friends who entered … Continue reading →
OMG to the nth degree! I must’ve been so blinded by the Aaron Yan prettiness (who can blame me, the boy is ridiculously gorgeous) not to notice the actual substance behind his upcoming TW-drama Alice in Wonder City. Once I found out who the scriptwriter was, I went from mildly curious to 120 mph I-want-this-drama-NOW. Alice is written by the … Continue reading →
May 9th marks the one-year anniversary of a little K-drama bounding out of nowhere and ended up becoming one of the most divisive pieces of entertainment I’ve ever lived through. Those who loved it….LOVED IT, and those who hated it…..LOATHED IT, and then threw hate bombs everywhere proclaiming its sheer idiocy. I not only lived through Lie to Me, I’ve … Continue reading →
What’s a Koala gotta do to court boredom? Why is the dramaverse suddenly heating up with dramas that interest me all at once? Argh, I have neither the wherewithal nor the inclination to follow anything more than one K-drama at a time, yet there are currently four upcoming K-dramas that have become must sees for me for at least one … Continue reading →
Even though fan shot stills and video of the upcoming royal engagement in The King 2 Hearts has leaked out for the past week, I still can’t help yelping with joy when I saw the MBC released official stills showing Jae Ha and Hang Ah putting a ring on it. While I loved the elegance and simplicity of Hang Ah’s … Continue reading →
The upcoming Hong Sisters-penned rom-com Big is one of those K-dramas where everything interests me but nothing excites me. I like, but not love, all the leads actors, and same goes for the Hong Sisters duo who has yet to make a drama that wins me over from beginning-to-end. But seeing the first stills of Gong Yoo being both a … Continue reading →
So who upset our earnest and normally calm Eun Shi Kyung? Is it weird for me to want to clone Shi Kyung so that we can keep one with Princess Jae Shin and they can be all cute and make “I love you” eyes at each other, and then the other Shi Kyung can be on the island right now … Continue reading →
