The promos are starting for the next tvN Mon-Tues drama No Love No Gain which premieres at the end of August. Starring Shin Mina and Kim Young Dae, it’s the story of a very penny pinching who keeps track of relationships in money saved or spent until she needs to recruit a fake groom to net a promotion at work. … Continue reading →
When I think of South Korean luxury skincare brand The Whoo I immediately picture veteran top actress Lee Young Ae. She’s been the face of the brand for probably two decades and she remains top visuals and aura with K-netizens. But it’s nice to see fresh blood repping the line as Kim Ji Won has joined as the face of … Continue reading →
I thought K-actor Nam Da Reum would be back into acting already as he was discharged from the military in August of last year in 2023 but he has taken his time and this week his agency BAA released new profile shots while announcing a formal comeback. He looks fantastic here and totally lost any remaining boyish vibe after being … Continue reading →
So I thought this C-drama was on ice due to the difficulty of casting a bevy of male leads opposite Dilraba Dilmurat that she can take revenge on because each guy is a cheating asshole as she time and world hops around. The drama is titled 万花世界 (Wan Hua Shi Jie or Hundred Flower World) and is adapted from a manhwa … Continue reading →
So all signs point to the imminent arrival of this C-drama despite the lack of confirmation and promotion, so typical these days to air drop and let the buzz carry itself. iQiyi is reportedly releasing Reborn for Love this week the end of July or maybe into the beginning of August, with a current lull in buzzy C-dramas on air … Continue reading →
The casting is moving fast for the K-drama Confidence Man KR, adapted from the popular J-dorama and movie franchise Confidence Man JP. This weekend there is news that veteran Park Hee Soon and the always excellent supporting actor Joo Jong Hyuk has joined the drama cast. This is a quirky drama and a lot of in-drama acting as in the … Continue reading →
Another C-drama is slated to kick off filming in the next few weeks and the leads are set. The Youku modern crime C-drama 锁证者 (best translated as Evidence Witness) will star Luo Yun Xi and Zheng Hehuizi and will reportedly have an overseas location shoot in Thailand as well as filming on set in China. This is a solid casting … Continue reading →

Taecyeon and Seohyun are going to star in the K-drama adaptation of the popular webtoon First Night with the Duke, which is set in European period times but for the drama will be set in the Joseon era. The female … Continue reading →
So award winning K-actress Park Eun Bin has been inked for her next drama for some time now but now her male lead has floated to the surface. Cha Eun Woo has been offered the role and his agency says he’s considering but I can’t see how he would pass on this. The drama is called The Wonder Fools (original … Continue reading →
A new modern romance C-drama is in the works and is adapted from the novel Jing Luo Zai Wu Jia Ren (京洛再无佳人). The drama is in talks for Zhang Jing Yi and Wang Hong Yi as the leads and I’m good with this casting. Zhang Jing Yi is continuing her top billed female lead status but paired with rising level … Continue reading →
I hope this is the end of the public holding Byun Woo Seok personally to task for his action/inaction at that moment in the airport when his security team was checking other passengers tickets, blocking the entrance, and shining flashlights in the eyes. Those were the conduct of the security team hired to protect him last week as he left … Continue reading →
Revenge C-drama The Double wrapped its run in June and remains to date my favorite C-drama so far of 2024, sadly Lost You Forever Part 2 was a giant disappointment. The Double made me like Wu Jin Yan for the first time and now I am happy to check out any future dramas of hers and if it’s good watch … Continue reading →
So the crystal ball says that C-actress Angelababy‘s soft cancellation has neared its end or ended, what with her filmed drama Everlasting Longing getting broadcast permit approval last week. She is reportedly anxious for this drama to air since she’s been offscreen for the last 8 months since she attended K-pop star Lisa’s performance at the burlesque club Crazy Horse … Continue reading →
