[M2F recap coming much later, so don’t ask where it is] The cast of the upcoming live-action adaptation of the manga Skip Beat attended a press conference today in Taipei to drum up interest for the premiere of the drama this coming Sunday. Choi Siwon and Lee Donghae jetted into town for less six hours just for this important event. … Continue reading →
I’m still hanging in there for Man of Honor, so strong is my love for PIE and Min Young, who are gamely trudging through the mess that is this drama. My gut feeling is that the writer has no clue how to tie together and wrap up all the loose threads so he’s just randomly pulling everything into a ball … Continue reading →
Gosh, I just love Su Ae, who radiates this serene beauty and sophistication when she’s onscreen or in print. She’s really hit or miss for me in terms of her acting projects, but I remain a fan regardless because she’s got this special aura that I find fascinating. While her character is currently suffering from early onset dementia in Thousand … Continue reading →
In all my drama watching years, I have never ever (NEVER EVER EVER) seen anything like the official MV released by the production for the upcoming SBS drama History of the Salaryman. O.M.F.G. Whomever conceived of this was smoking more weed than the entire generation of the 70s. Stills were released last week of the cast filming in what appeared … Continue reading →
Today was the premiere of a new TW-drama, a daily called Inborn Pair (alternate English title is called True Love) starring Annie Chen and Chris Wang. I watched tons of trailers and BTS of the drama last week (didn’t post about it) and enjoyed it all very much. A daily TW-drama consists of 45-minute episodes every weekday and tends to … Continue reading →
HongShi is back together! For an awards show, that is. Liu Shi Shi and Yuan Hong, the former currently filming An Angel’s Happiness with Ming Dao while the latter just returned to Beijing from the hinterlands of China where he was filming a Hua Mulan drama for the last three months, reunited to attend the 2011 Esquire China Men of … Continue reading →
I’m just hoping that Jae In’s discovery of the whole truth and nothing but the truth about what In Woo’s dad did (and is still trying to do) will rocket Man of Honor into overdrive. Or maybe just not get more stupid and boring, because I don’t have time right now to follow a drama that can’t even be entertaining … Continue reading →
If I didn’t know anything about this drama, just by looking at the pictures I would have guessed Lee Shi Young was playing a cross-dressing bodyguard who needs to pretend to be a boy in order to be employed. But Wild Romance doesn’t have that conceit (at least based on everything I’ve read), so why does her character need to … Continue reading →
Even though I’m furious at MBC for ending Me Too, Flower! early by one episode, I can’t boycott the stupid channel because M2F’s follow up drama is the first out of the gate in terms of being my most anticipated 2012 offering. The Moon that Embraces the Sun started filming a few weeks ago for the children’s portion of the … Continue reading →
As the spokespersons for non-profit World Vision Taiwan, Sonia Sui and Joe Cheng took a week-long trip to Cambodia recently for the Sponsor a Child program that they have been involved with for many years now. Both of them were gratified to have a chance to visit with the children they sponsor and spend time learning about the beautiful culture … Continue reading →
Unless you know your source material, this poster for the upcoming Taiwanese drama Skip Beat isn’t going to make any sense with respect to Ivy Chen wearing a eye-hurting bright pink jumpsuit and carrying a chicken costume head in her hand while making an “L” gesture with her other hand. But if you’ve read the manga, she’s exactly as I … Continue reading →
Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen stumbled their way to an expected and well-earned happy ending in today’s final episode of In Time With You. It was no surprise they will end up together, but viewers cared about the how, wanting their journey to feel complete. The production released these final batch of official stills for the fans to savor and … Continue reading →
I spent last night with some adorable squealing friends who decided every third word would be Song Joong Ki. So guess who I woke up and thought of first thing in the morning. I blame you three! You know who you are, dongsaengs. Of course waking up with Song Joong Ki on my mind means I need to post about … Continue reading →
