My resolve not to continue recapping Me Too, Flower! was like an egg meeting the hard surface that was episode 9. The surface was hard because there was so much anger going on, anger stemming from jealousy, betrayal, and disappointment. The look on Jae Hee’s face when he realized that Bong Sun, standing there on the CCTV screen, just found … Continue reading →
I love Man of Honor because Young Kwang and Jae In are darling together, but everything else pretty much sucks. The sudden spate of In Woo-shipping also weirds me out. Even though I’m enjoying his character’s development, he’s still mostly a jackass who is only nice to Jae In, with some long overdue growth of a backbone and confrontiong his … Continue reading →
I’m sure everyone’s like “didn’t you just post about this a few days ago?” The answer is no, because a few days ago Vic Zhou was not wearing all black and Xiao Xiao Bin was missing his bright red boy cape. So those two spot-the-difference moments are enough for me to post another round of pictures of Zai Zai and … Continue reading →
Episode 8 of Me Too, Flower! was one of the best episodes of a drama I’ve watched in a long time. Aside from a few bumps, it was simply wonderful. I loved it so much I decided to recap it. Just episode 8, I have no intention of recapping the first seven episodes, or continuing with my recaps of the remaining … Continue reading →
Kyaaaaaaa, they are so ridiculously gorgeous together! It kills me to see Alice Ke styled so no-nonsense for her character in Office Girls when she’s such a stunner in real life. Nice to see her dolled up outside of OG. Heh, if Zi Qi ever saw Xing Ren like this he might expire on the spot. Alice and her co-star … Continue reading →
Since wrapping a busy Summer with the critically acclaimed and well-received movie Blind and starring in a hit sageuk Warrior Baek Dong Soo, Yoo Seung Ho seems to be laying low, likely contemplating his next project. He’s gotten the script for a K-drama remake of ProDai (Proposal Daisakusen starring Yamapi), but I’m not sure he’ll take it since the story … Continue reading →
Methinks someone is getting really comfortable making C-dramas. Hot on the heels of Jo Hyun Jae wrapping his first C-drama, the period Rouge Hegemon, and returning to Korea, he’s just been confirmed as the lead for another upcoming C-drama. This time it’s a modern drama called Youth Storm, and centers around the the students at an aristocratic university in China … Continue reading →
Oh my goodness! Ovaries exploding. Oh shit, did I just say that? Whatever, ‘struth so I shant feel shame. Breaking news from K-drama land, where the drama gods are moving chess pieces around in order to ensure that the upcoming fantasy sageuk The Moon Embracing the Sun has the maximum amount of pretty possible in one drama. Rising young actor … Continue reading →
The first peek at the upcoming MBC Wed-Thurs drama Wild Romance is out courtesy of the two leads at script reading. I’m hiding the pictures after the jump, as to not scare anyone. If you thought the hair in Full House 2 looked bad, Lee Shi Young might just beat them all. Her co-star Lee Dong Wook caught a break and … Continue reading →
Cha Seung Won is really popular and well-known in Taiwan amongst all the K-actors. It’s all thanks to City Hall‘s immense popularity, but he’s really made an effort to reach out to his fans there, visiting once a year for a fan meeting. Now he’s landed the cover of popular men’s magazine Men’s Uno (last month’s cover model was 2011’s … Continue reading →
The official poster for Taira no Kiyomori is pretty, isn’t it? Very striking and a great visual image of Matsuyama Kenichi as the titular character. A month away from it’s premiere date, the upcoming 2012 Taiga has finally released it’s trailers. The tagline for the dorama reads: The Hegemon of the Seas, the King of the Warriors. A great looking … Continue reading →
Padam Padam, its the sound of my heart waiting for the drama Padam Padam: The Sound of His and Her Heartbeat to arrive. It’s also the sound I made when I laid eyes on Han Ji Min‘s dress at the press conference for the drama. The dress was gorgeous, and she looked glorious. The cast held the obligatory drama press … Continue reading →
Yay, happiness is a new episode of Office Girls on Sundays. And episode 16 was just that, a shot of happiness straight to the warm spot in my brain. This drama does feel episodic, the most I’ve ever seen in a TW prime time idol drama, even if there are larger narrative constructs looming over the characters. The drama takes … Continue reading →
