Crow, in the form of Yoon Si Yoon, tastes so delicious. Nomnomnom, please sir, can I have some more? Opinions are just that, fluid and transient, able to change and adapt to new developments. I’ve never feared altering my initial opinions for better or worse, though I may look back and chuckle at myself afterwards. Oh young Padawan, how little … Continue reading →
Initially I was just keeping an eye on the currently filming TW-drama Inborn Pair (Chinese title 真愛找麻煩 which means either “true love looks for trouble” for “loves looking for trouble”) with Chris Wang and Annie Chen, because the premise of a couple betrothed in the womb was curiously old-fashioned plus I liked the fresh pairing of Chris and Annie. The first … Continue reading →
What a difference a shave and a few pounds make. Vic Zhou is back in Taiwan after wrapping his period epic movie Saving General Yang, arriving just in time to attend the Golden Horse Awards with Ella to start promotions for their new movie Perfect Two (Chinese title Destiny’s Pair). It’s so good to see my Zai Zai so cheerful … Continue reading →
These two bits of news have nothing whatsoever to do with each other (other than the Christmas theme), but since both happened this week AND I super love Ariel Lin and Roy Qiu, imma pulling an executive decision and making it a combined post. Also because – don’t they look good together! YY? Roy was at the DHL-sponsored charity movie … Continue reading →
I totally called it last week when I said Kai Er is trying to become Xing Ren’s friend so she can destroy her relationship with Zi Qi from within. If I could toss that scheming ho down a well, I would. I hate her continued evilness because I think it’s unnecessary, and the OTP have plenty of other obstacles and … Continue reading →
After a five-year long relationship, Yoo Ji Tae and Kim Hyo Jin have made it official and tied the knot. Woo hoot, I love it when a long haul relationship goes all the way. And judging from the happy couple’s looks of love and affection during the ceremony, these two look like they’ve got the foundation down for a successful … Continue reading →
Just three weeks out from the premiere of what might be the crackiest drama to come along in a good long while, GTV is ramping up its promotions for Skip Beat, which will take over the time slot soon to be vacated by In Time With You. The network is holding a fan vote for which among four posters will … Continue reading →
Lee Min Ho, whose popularity shot up even more this year in China thanks to City Hunter, held a fan meeting in Shanghai this week that reportedly caused a traffic jams from the moment he arrived in the city and his fans started stalking him from the airport to the hotel and to the arena. Sometimes I wonder if I … Continue reading →
Word on the street is that Office Girls will end at 20 episodes, which skews long with respect to SETTV dramas. That means it’s follow up drama will have a mere six weeks to get ready for an early January premiere. This week the rumors I’ve been hearing have finally been confirmed – OG’s follow up drama is tentatively called Dream … Continue reading →
The lack of consistency in Man of Honor continues with episode 16, except this time the pendulum swings in the favor of the viewer, with this episode being one of the good ones. Still nothing happens that is remotely realistic and usually falls into the random category, but at least it was (more) interesting and moved the story forward in … Continue reading →
Things on Ethan Ruan‘s not-to-do list, the new number 1 has to be “do not propose to girlfriend in a joking way at a party in front of blabbermouth friends.” Apple Daily has reported, courtesy of several eyewitness accounts at a party recently in Taipei, that longtime couple Ethan and Tiffany Hsu apparently put on an awkward show for their … Continue reading →
What’s better than one Nicky Wu? Two Nickys, of course! I came across another batch of new pictorials from Nicky, who has just been confirmed as a solo performer for the 2012 Lunar New Year event (like the Super Bowl of Chinese television, except without possibly nip slips during the show), which says tons about his resurging popularity since he … Continue reading →
As Office Girls heads into its final stretch of episodes, it’s clear that the drama is finally trying to create stakes where heretofore it hasn’t focused on that aspect of the narrative. Multiple plot threads are converging – whatever Kai Er has up her sleeve, ousted Manager Hu not leaving quietly, Zi Qi’s contract with his father and his big … Continue reading →
