It feels like upcoming cable drama Padam Padam: The Sound of His and Her Heartbeat has been filming for like forever. It’s been filming since mid-September, and the drama isn’t even slated to premiere until December on jTBC. I love the fact that it has such a head start, and the cast and crew won’t be scrambling around like headless … Continue reading →
Son Ye Jin and Lee Min Ki‘s romantic-horror-comedy movie Chilling Romance is premiering in December, just in time for the holiday season. The movie genuinely looks good in every way – mixing the horror dead people scares with a sweet romance plus Lee Min Ki playing a total scaredy cat. I love it! Son Ye Jin just shines on the … Continue reading →
I’m just going to keep this short and sweet. SUNDAY COME RIGHT NOW. That is all. Xing Ren and Zi Qi’s Tamsui date is going to be epic. I love them so much I can’t wait to see what happens. I’m sure this episode will be rewatched so many times we can all recite the dialogue shortly. Let’s start with … Continue reading →
The cast and crew for the upcoming C-drama Fairytale (童话二分之一 which literally translates as 50% of a Fairytale) quietly started shooting the drama in early October without much fanfare despite it’s cross-border cast. Looks like the production company wanted to make a splashy press conference complete with a teaser of the early footage. Starring Janine Chang from Taiwan and Lee … Continue reading →
What? I have drool on the side of my mouth? I won’t draw attention to yours if you disregard mine, deal? Taiwan’s “super-hot-fried-chicken” leading man Roy Qiu was out and about town this week with Tiffany Hsu, shilling for Clinique. I’m totally not exaggerating when I say Tiffany is the arm candy du jour of every label. Tiffany reminds me … Continue reading →
At 24-episodes, Man of Honor is that type of drama where the story can be revealed at a more measured pace like an even longer weekend drama, but without the ancillary filler material either. The dialogue still errs on the side of scripted, but thankfully doesn’t cross the line into self-aware. We’re running parallel with the story reveals, rather than … Continue reading →
Okay, I take back what I said (somewhat) about the first trailer for Me Too, Flower making the drama seem like a potential big ole mess. The six-minute trailer is out and the drama no longer seems wack-a-doodle and random. I like what I see of Yoon Si Yoon, genuinely like his character and performance from the trailers alone. He … Continue reading →
I don’t thinks it’s possible for Jang Geun Seok to pick a fuglier look than what he rocked for the You’re My Pet VIP movie premiere. He even get bonus ugly points for how badly he managed to clash with co-star Kim Ha Neul, who will be winning no fashion awards herself. For two very good looking people, they sure … Continue reading →
Yet another satisfying episode of Man of Honor, propelling our leads into direct competition and interaction with each other, all the while the wheels the fate continue to spin, revealing more people are in the know about all the secrets and lies. Now that the story has settled into its groove, I realize that I really wouldn’t like it nearly … Continue reading →
Man of Honor really tries my patience, doling out the story at its own pace regardless of what I may want. I’m not griping as much as I’m just whining because I really want to see more Young Kwang and Jae In adorableness. Watching the three leads finally interacting on a more consistent basis makes for great conflict and plot … Continue reading →
OMG, I can’t even. Look at that picture above. No, you are not imagining things. Song Seung Heon, Kim Tae Hee, and Micky Yoochun are in fact dirtied up like West Virginia coal miners and holding a…….pizza board rather than a coal shovel. This entire concept endorsement is so LOLtastic I almost can’t squee over the fact that HeonHee have … Continue reading →
As long as Office Girls stays good, I’ll never get tired of saying how much I love it. So far it never fails to deliver a good hours worth of happy entertainment, with equal measures cute and snarky. I’m pleased with the pace of Xing Ren and Zi Qi’s relationship progress, which is just sweetness personified. The more I love the characters in … Continue reading →
Jerry Yan, probably the most reluctant A-list leading man in Taiwan what with one project every few years, is finally coming back to the small screen two years after Down with Love. The C-drama My Wonderful Life co-starring Yedda Chen is probably more notable for it being a straight up remake of the hit K-drama Brilliant Legacy/Shining Inheritance. The production recently released … Continue reading →
