Jung Woo Sung has already started filming for Padam Padam: The Sound of His and Her Heartbeat, co-starring Han Ji Min and Kim Bum, with the drama scheduled to premiere on the new cable channel jTBC early December. He’s featured on this month’s MR Magazine, which is a men’s publication in Hong Kong. My I Lub You actually has quite a … Continue reading →
Ouran High School Host Club Episode 11 Recap
I can’t believe we’re at the final episode of the live-action drama adaptation of Ouran High School Host Club. It definitely just flew right by, leaving me with a feeling like it was both lightweight and memorable. Because a movie version is coming up, this final episode isn’t really any closure, but more like the end of a segment while … Continue reading →
Fighting Spirit with Kim Sun Ah and Kim Joo Hyuk Gears Up for Premiere
I really love Kim Sun Ah, but even that love couldn’t get me into Scent of a Woman. However, the project she did before SoaW was the movie Fighting Spirit with Kim Joo Hyuk, which held it’s press premiere this weekend prior to wide release in Korea next week. Kim Joo Hyuk plays an immature and ill-tempered baseball player with … Continue reading →
A Look at the Leading Actors of Japanese Entertainment
A couple of months ago I did a write up on TW-actors and TW-actresses, which was relatively easy to do since there just aren’t that many of them occupying the perch as certifiable leads. The same isn’t true elsewhere, which is why I’ve been hesitant to attempt it for other industries. Nevertheless, I suddenly got the urge to run down … Continue reading →
Ring Ring Bells Releases Final Trailer Prior to its Weekend Premiere
This weekend sees the premiere of another Sunday night TW-drama, which will be entering already heated competition. Ring Ring Bell with Peter Ho and Janine Chang airs on CTS, and will be going up against heavy-hitting Office Girls on TTV with tons of momentum and the already critically acclaimed In Time With You on FTV. CTS has good reason to be … Continue reading →
Always with So Ji Sub and Han Hyo Joo Release Second Trailer and OST Song
The tickets for the premiere of Always at the Busan International Film Festival sold out in 7 seconds, which is a new record there. Clearly the interest is sky high in the upcoming melo-romance movie starring So Ji Sub and Han Hyo Joo. The production released a second teaser that continues to roll in the awesome. In it, So Ji Sub … Continue reading →
Lovesick with Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen Releases Swoony MV Trailer
Just days after I posted the two short trailers for Lovesick, the upcoming movie with Ariel Lin, Bolin Chen, and Li Yi Feng, the production released the official MV set to the title song “Not Anymore” sung by Kong Ling Qi. It’s a great ballad that just hits the spot, though I wish my Feng Feng, a singer first and … Continue reading →
Tree with Deep Roots Holds Press Conference and Releases 7-minute Trailer
Now this is how stars should look at a press conference for their drama! Jang Hyuk, Han Suk Hyu, and Shin Se Kyung get an A+++ across-the-board for showing up classy, gorgeous, and coordinated at the press conference for Tree with Deep Roots, which is premiering next Wednesday on SBS. With The Princess’s Man ending next week, that will leave the Wed-Thurs … Continue reading →
Bu Bu Jing Xin Scene Recap: A Snowy Break Up Paves Way for a Date on the Lake
There are countless great scenes in Bu Bu Jing Xin, and I’m not planning to run down a list and recap them all. I’m recapping depending on my mood and whim, and really as a way to wean myself off the BBJX exhilaration. I love how this drama refuses to tell you how to feel, when choosing between 8th Prince … Continue reading →
Ethan Ruan is High Flying for Lees Jeans
Some things are a match made in Heaven, and I firmly contend that Ethan Ruan‘s lower half and Lee’s Jeans might just be that destiny’s pair. Ethan was a model before turning into an award-winning actor, so it’s always such a treat to see him modeling for any product because he just gets it intuitively how to pose to draw … Continue reading →
Checking in with the Growing Awesome that is Office Girls
Sundays in Taiwan is now owned by Office Girls, which hit 4.6 in ratings this past weekend and I wouldn’t be surprised if it breaks 5 this Sunday. It’s that good. While In Time With You is the superior drama in every aspect, OG is the drama that simultaneously pushes every one of my happy and squee buttons. It’s funny … Continue reading →
Protect the Boss Episode 18 Recap
What can I say about the final episode of Protect the Boss? Better late than never? Why did it take you so long? How about just a “thank you for somewhat returning to form and going out with a fist pump and a farewell bow.” Even with no expectations beyond simply wanting this story to end so I can finish … Continue reading →
