So this is the drama that Ju Jing Yi was still filming when In Blossom premiered and guest starring Zheng Hehuizi stole her thunder, and in a stroke of irony the two were filming this drama together where Ju Jing Yi is the female lead and Zheng Hehuizi the supporting female lead. It’s called Qian Xiang (Thousand Fragrances) adapted from … Continue reading →
I don’t think this drama is air dropping anytime soon but it now has it’s airing permit so it’ll be up to iQiyi when it wants to slot it in. Period C-drama Follow Your Heart with Luo Yun Xi and Song Yi has been on my radar since it filmed last year and I loved the dark, mysterious, and quiet … Continue reading →
Man, watching C-drama producer Yu Zheng being the pompous troll that he is may be more entertaining than this drama end product. The xianxia C-drama Lin Jiang Xian (formerly Heng Men You Hu or There is a Fox in Hengmen) commenced filming this week with leads Bai Lu and Zeng Shun Xi (Joseph Zeng) who theoretically should be fine together, … Continue reading →
So this week had a new C-drama arrive with Best Choice Ever on Tencent. Starring Yang Zi and Xu Kai, the drama has a sprawling cast and is more about the families and work issues than the OTP romance though there is also that. The first numbers are out and in three days has 7.3 million views. It would be … Continue reading →
C-drama War of Faith (Wind Chaser) is about to wrap its fun and turns out a drama that was air dropped with barely any promos is the surprise big hit of 2024. Starring Wang Yibo and Li Qin, it’s a republic era communist party during the war drama that was filmed awhile ago and seemed to be one of those … Continue reading →
This is an older bullying scandal at least in terms of the lightning speed of K-ent news cycles. In June of 2022 K-actor Nam Joo Hyuk was alleged to have bullied a high school classmate who claimed he was targeted for fight club type shenanigans and Nam Joo Hyuk was part of it. The timing couldn’t have been worse for … Continue reading →
So this K-drama was announced last year prior to Moving becoming a mega hit for Disney+ so it wasn’t trying to get on the superhero K-drama train. The drama is called Twelve and tells the story of superheroes living among us who band together as a team of protectors. Sure it sounds like K-drama Avengers but I think the simple … Continue reading →
A year after postponing the release of apocalyptic thriller K-drama Goodbye Earth on the heels of male lead Yoo Ah In‘s drug use scandal, Netflix is now ready to the release the show. The wait could be a boon since female lead Ahn Eun Jin is now one of the biggest breakouts of 2023 thanks to sageuk drama My Dearest. … Continue reading →
So this is an unsurprising and could really happen and I think both sides fan would be happy. C-ent casting rumors have Luo Yun Xi in talks for a S+ level drama and his side is very interested to cast Bai Lu as the female lead. If this casting happens it would be their third time together after Love is … Continue reading →
So the biggest surprise for me in the just released 2024 Baeksang Art Awards nominations the TV category are on who was and was not nominated in the Queen of Tears family. Kim Soo Hyun got yet another Baeksang Best Actor nomination for this role but the rest of the drama was missing in the Best Drama, Best Screenwriter, and … Continue reading →
Well this is a dumbass lawsuit, in both legal standing and public perception. C-actor Cheng Yi‘s old agency has sued him for compensation for using his stage name. His birth name is Fu Shi Qi and Cheng Yi is obviously the name he’s used as an actor. Even if his old agency has someone who helped pick his stage name … Continue reading →
I have it give it to screenwriter Park Ji Eun, she’s getting better and better with each drama and that’s saying a lot since her earlier drama You From Another Star is a seminal once-in-a-decade type hit that created a wave through all of Asia and beyond. But here we are ten years and a few dramas later with Queen … Continue reading →
The spokesperson switch for the other brand CF that did not renew with Han So Hee has also found a new buzzy actress to take over the campaign. The soju brand went with Kim Ji Won days after and now the agricultural bank has selected Go Yoon Jung in less than two weeks. There is clearly the same thought process … Continue reading →
