This is one big name cast drama filmed on the down low because I don’t hear anything about it. jTBC medical romance drama Dr. Slump with Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik has confirmed a premiere date of January 27th, 2024, making it one of the first big K-drama arrivals in the new year. The two leads play former … Continue reading →
K-drama fans are too cute as a recent fan fiction script concept has everyone suddenly wanting this K-drama made for realz. The idea is that Lee Se Young, Yoo Seung Ho, and Yeo Jin Gu are all child actors who grew up together and worked together various times. Lee Se Young says in an interview that Yoo Seung Ho is … Continue reading →
So this one really may be the last big C-drama to premiere before year end, I thought after A Journey to Love the platforms would wait for lunar new year to come. Tencent announced today The Last Immortal (Hidden God) with Zhao Lu Si and Wang An Yu will drop next Monday December 11th. This is the first big budget … Continue reading →
I’m so amused by the K-media on one hand denigrating Cha Eun Woo for still being not a good (enough) actor but on the other hand finding his kissing skillz more than good enough to write about. In all seriousness, it’s even making the news because as an idol he’s actually going full kissing (tongue and all) in the latest … Continue reading →
C-actress Zhao Lu Si is in deep into the filming of Tang dynasty period drama The Legend of Jewelry but one doesn’t become a top flower without a mapped out future plan. She’s been offered the female lead role in the period C-drama Zhen Di which translates to battle headquarters or battlefield. It’s set during the communist revolution in the … Continue reading →
So there is soooooo much wrong with this look C-actor Dylan Wang is sporting but the one thing not wrong is his tattoos showing. Dylan has many tattoos on his body which he normally covers up during filming and events, he’s like the male C-version of Han So Hee. It’s a freedom of expression for him and he isn’t bothered … Continue reading →
Despite Sweet Home 2 premiering to disappointing reviews it’s still top of the viewing chart and understandably so. It’s a big budget action sci-fi horror drama and makes for a fun popcorn watch. I hope the next Netflix K-drama Gyeongseong Creature takes that fun element but adds more character development but from the just released full trailer below I also … Continue reading →
So this story has no allegations or implications of cheating as all industry gossip says Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy‘s divorce a last year was mutual and for financial and life goal reasons for the most part. But recently they are in the news together again as Huang Xiaoming is reporting dating, totally fine, but it’s who he is dating that … Continue reading →
I would say that a good drama goes a long way to making me have a soft spot for less than stellar stars and Song Kang and Cha Eun Woo fits that bill exactly. I’ve liked them despite their admittedly limited acting skills because when each plays the right role it just works and the performance is entertaining to watch. … Continue reading →
The pre-prep remains ongoing for the drama formerly known as 万渣朝凰 (Wan Zha Chao Huang) but has now gotten a title change to 万花世界 (Wan Hua Shi Jie) which is being called World of Flowers. It’s the story of a strong female lead who transmigrates into different time periods as various female characters and takes revenge on the shitty, lying, … Continue reading →
More posters are out for upcoming KBS sageuk Love Song for Illusion (Fantasy Sonata) and it’s kinda piquing my interest. Male lead Park Ji Hoon plays a crown prince suffering from split personality and in his two posters he actually looks like different dudes. I much prefer the Dark Prince haha, the nice sweet one seems super boring to hang … Continue reading →
The solid success of A Journey to Love is both a surprise and a true happiness for me. I love leads Liu Shi Shi and Liu Yu Ning separate and now together in this drama but neither are top liuliangs to drive traffic. This drama is succeeding on the quality of the script, acting, and directing and in one week … Continue reading →
Sigh, another cautionary tale of don’t try to do bigger and badder. Sweet Home 2 was released last week on Netflix and the opening ratings by C-viewers on Douban is a low 5.5. Not as woeful as true turkeys like Fireworks of My Heart with 2.8 or Gentlemen of East 8th at 2.1 but still this is a drastic drop … Continue reading →
