Well who do we have here! How come no one told me baby boy L is back from the army! I swear he just enlisted and then checked and he left February 2021 and came back in late August 2022 after doing his full service. He was at the 2022 Korea Drama Awards last week receiving an award for his … Continue reading →

It’s usually when high profile and big budget movies are premiered with many more moviegoers expected. Born to Fly was billed as the Chinese … Continue reading →

People say you make your best friends in school and for these two actors they made best friends in School for sure haha. School 2013 to be exact, the KBS drama series that got revived with the 2013 version and spawned three more iterations with Who are You: School 2015, School 2017, and the latest School 2021. This upcoming Netflix K-movie looks so sweet and darling, evincing the same playbook as many such predecessors which take the young love from an earlier era and bring it forth to today as adults. Introduction to Architecture did it with juxtaposing time periods but for 20th Century Girl it looks like the movie will stick with the 1999 period high … Continue reading →
C-actor Cheng Yi just had this delicate male lead aura, which suits him playing gods in xianxia drama male leads and has in my mind pegged him in a certain mold. He’s tried breaking out obviously with modern dramas and now with an upcoming straight wuxia drama and still he looks like a xianxia god in the mortal realm doing … Continue reading →
Okay, so it is likely October 12th but may be October 13th, but this week it will happen as C-ent is reporting that modern romance drama She and Her Perfect Husband (爱的二八定律) is dropping in the usual air drop suddenly scheme that C-dramas do. I don’t know when the last modern C-drama I watched all the way through was, perhaps … Continue reading →
It’s 0-1 right now with the post A Business Proposal drama successes for the four leads who all benefited from the hit series. Kim Se Jung was first out of the gate with Today’s Webtoon and it’s one drama that I’ve heard really mixed reviews about in substantive ways. Those who don’t like it explain clearly why it’s a lackluster … Continue reading →
Oh I like this male lead pick! A day after news that Kim So Hyun was taking on modern romance K-drama Is It Coincidence the male lead has been announced as likely Chae Jong Hyeob. He was the best thing in the messiest of hot mess dramas that was Sisyphus: The Myth but hasn’t since delivered on that potential in … Continue reading →
Soooooo many memes work with this running joke about how poorly (selected) the South Korean stars look at red carpet events ranging from awards to festivals. It’s like they go out of their way to be beyond boring or intentionally fugly. The 2022 Asia Star Awards held at the Busan International Film Festival was like an episode of Project Runway … Continue reading →
SBS Fri-Sat drama One Dollar Lawyer (Thousand Won Lawyer) already broke 10% ratings in episode 3 when it hit 12.9% but this most recent episode 5 one upped itself with 14.9% ratings. That shows after the week break more viewers got onboard and started watching, a very good sign for SBS. This is now the biggest ratings hit for the … Continue reading →
