Oh I hope she wears these outfits in her upcoming drama Now, We Are Breaking Up because she looks soooooo good here. Song Hye Kyo shared new pictures on her SNS this week in a clothing pictorial CF campaign. The looks are all office suitable attire from dresses to suits and every look is impeccable on her. She’s playing a … Continue reading →
This Friday was the Netflix streaming release of Kingdom: Ashin of the North, the stand alone side-quel to the currently two season strong Kingdom zombie K-drama series. Early reviews are positive and point out how the backstory of Ashin and the resurrection plant is actually wayyyyy darker (not in lighting but in tone) than even the Kingdom series has been … Continue reading →
Starting from today Friday July 23, South Korean dramas and variety shows on the Big Three networks will be preempted for Olympics coverage. It will happen as announced so some days the show may still air but if you don’t see it, like this Friday there was no new episode of SBS drama Penthouse for the Opening Ceremony coverage, then … Continue reading →
The cast of upcoming tvN legal drama Big Mouth just exploded this week with so many recognizable faces joining leads Lee Jong Seok and Yoona. I guess filming is starting soon lol. Every one of these supporting leads have other dramas and movies going on as well so it’s really a solid collection of currently hot talent. Joining the cast … Continue reading →
A new find for me in 2021 on the male actor front now includes Bae In Hyuk, I really really liked him in recently concluded rom-com My Roommate is a Gumiho. He made a one-dimensional second male lead character with a crush on the female lead into someone sincere and memorable. If Jang Ki Yong‘s sweet as pie gumiho who … Continue reading →
Hhhhmmmm, this projects sounds a whole lot more interesting for me after I chanced upon the male lead recently in another drama. The Netflix produced movie adaptation of webtoon Moral Sense has wrapped filming and I’m guessing we could even see it by year end. It stars two idol-actors in Seohyun of SNSD and Lee Jun Young (Jun) of U-KISS … Continue reading →
Okay SBS, we’re like one month out from highly anticipated sageuk romance Red Sky (Hong Chun Gi) and you’re killing me here with zero promos yet other than the very early teaser at the beginning of the year and the script reading stills. Grah, it’s like you want me to slowly bang my head against the wall in frustration because … Continue reading →
The Korean ginseng in a pack, kinda like a healthy medicinal version of Gogurt, has been ubiquitous in K-dramas in the last few years. It’s either there when a star is endorsing the product or when the brand buys ad space, either way it’s portrayed as a quick and easy nutritional and energy boost. It’s more believable to be consumed … Continue reading →
I love K-netizens perplexed snarkiness on this news, and honestly I’m out of reasons why as well other than she really likes to work? K-ent is reporting that Song Hye Kyo has accepted yet another K-drama this one from the PD of Descendants of the Sun, Goblin, and Sweet Home. It’s a thriller mystery drama and that’s all the details … Continue reading →
A creepy cool mystery with a tinge of horror drama is on deck as TVing announced the casting of Yoon Kyun Sang and Lim Ji Yeon as the leads for its upcoming drama The Mansion. He plays a detective and she’s a hotel employee who goes back home to her family mansion when she hears that her sister has gone … Continue reading →
The first teaser poster is a little too cutesy for me but I’m still wildly excited for the August arrival of tvN drama Hometown Cha Cha Cha (Seaside Village Cha Cha Cha). The vibe feels like the glass half full peppy cousin of When the Weather is Fine which was the glass half empty melancholy kid on the block when … Continue reading →
I don’t know how Wu Yi Fan (Kris Wu) will try to hardnose his way out of increasing allegations of being a sexual predator including drugging and rape. In the two days since a young woman named Du Mei Zhu publicly accused him of luring, drugging, and raping her, and claimed that he’s done so many times before with other … Continue reading →
When I saw the title for this K-drama I wanted to spork my eyes out. What the hell is Idol: The Coup? Why do the idols want to stage a coup? Wouldn’t leaving the industry be the ultimate coup? Is that what the drama is about, a bunch of successful idols saying “f*#k it!”? But before we can all figure … Continue reading →
