I think a time slip must’ve happened because new SBS Fri-Sat drama Alice is already here. So the one week break from predecessor Backstreet Rookie passed in a glance and this Friday the network goes back to the time travel theme that it did earlier this year in the same time slot with The King: Eternal Monarch. Starring Joo Won, … Continue reading →
Gosh, I didn’t realize how much I needed real life Lee Min Ho, as opposed to airbrushed to perfection and playing a perfectly written male hero role Lee Min Ho. Real like Lee Min Ho is a real life version of a derp hottie, so preternaturally handsome but really a big dork at heart. It’s so clear to see in … Continue reading →
Okay, I am not feeling the transformation of Lee Dong Wook into the titular gumiho in upcoming tvN drama Tale of Gumiho. He looks like a K-drama bargain basement version of Edward Cullen from Twilight, and it doesn’t help that Lee Dong Wook vibes with Robert Pattinson. I do get the gumiho in Korean folklore has certain characteristics but being … Continue reading →
This teaser is too short to fully excite or deflate but used as a glimpse of the four leads it does the job proficiently. Upcoming tvN drama Start-Up focuses on the lives and loves of the young South Koreans chasing their own start up tech dreams in their version of Silicon Valley. Nam Joo Hyuk is a wunderkind with his … Continue reading →
Awwww, another quarantine COVID-19 baby lol. TW-actor Tony Yang, now mostly working in C-movies and C-dramas but back in Taiwan during the pandemic, first announced that he was a taken man earlier this year by introducing fiancee Melinda, a non-celeb. Now he’s sharing the couple is expecting a baby girl in a few months as Melinda is 6-months along in … Continue reading →
The new stills are out for tomorrow’s episode 9 of Flower of Evil and it’s one of the most exciting sneak peeks because it bring all four leads into the same scene. Detective wifey Cha Ji Won manages to track sleuthing husband Do Hyun Soo to his scooby gang meeting with sister Hae Soo and high school nemesis turned ally … Continue reading →
There is so much subtext going on when I read the synopsis for upcoming sageuk drama Cut By the Heart. The lead offers are out to Son Ye Jin and Kang Ha Neul, which brings together the leads from the two biggest romance based K-dramas in the last two years with Crash Landing on You and When the Camellia Blooms. … Continue reading →
Rawr, this dress is both sexy and cute and Kim Yoo Jung wearing it is legit bringing more to something that wouldn’t otherwise be all that. The young actress recently finished up SBS drama Backstreet Rookie and isn’t just resting but has resumed her active endorsement events. Last week she was out in Seoul at an H&M store as a … Continue reading →
I always like seeing drama leads do a fashion pictorial prior to the drama premiere, early promos add more flavor on what to expect in terms of chemistry. I’ve been noncommittal with Go Kyung Pyo and Seohyun‘s upcoming drama Private Life but am adding interest seeing them in the September 2020 edition of Marie Claire Korea. Go Kyung Pyo is … Continue reading →
Nothing is known about this drama (substantively) so all the attention is on the background stuff including casting and production. Upcoming jTBC drama Snowdrop is hot to trot on casting, first casting Jisoo of Blackpink, then Kim Hye Yoon which would reunite her with the Sky Castle production team who is doing Snowdrop, and lasting offering the male lead to … Continue reading →
I love how C-netizens remain totally candid when it comes to assessing the acting ability of the wide swatch of actors and actresses in the industry. They are brutal and I love it because the ability to act isn’t a personal attack, it’s subjective certainly but it’s like Justice Potter in the definition of what is obscene: “I’ll know it … Continue reading →
K-actress Son Ye Jin is back being the face of ladies care brands rather than the CEO in Crash Landing on You who manufactures it. She’s reportedly increased her already substantial CF campaigns since CLOY which is not surprising because the drama was fun and she was absolutely gorgeous in it. You gotta strike while the iron has gotten hot … Continue reading →
Some new Hyun Bin fans, courtesy of Crash Landing on You, probably may not even know that he was a red blooded marine in the South Korean military. His enlistment was for the hard core marine corps which you have to test into and doesn’t have easy rotations such as entertainment division or public service. Once you’re a marine you’re … Continue reading →
