I totally missed the premiere of TW-drama Someday or One Day (Chinese title Wanting to See You) but I’m glad now I can sit down and marathon this baby as the drama aired its final episode this weekend. The drama stars Alice Ke and rookie young actor Greg Han (Hsu Kuang Han) playing dual roles in a time travel/fantasy mobius … Continue reading →
You always remember the firs time you fall in love with a performer coupled with the character and for me Kim Soo Hyun will always be Song Sam Dong. Dream High was his true leading man breakout performance after making waves in a teen role for Will it Snow for Christmas and it didn’t matter that compared to the idols … Continue reading →
The symbolism is a bit too literal as the first character posters are out for tvN Mon-Tues drama A Piece of Your Mind. It features half of Jung Hae In‘s right side of his face and half of Chae Soo Bin‘s left side of her face, and since the literal translation of the Korean title is Half of a Half … Continue reading →
It’s too early to say whether this is a financial smart move but the production company behind the big budget fantasy sageuk Arthdal Chronicles has announced officially that season 2 of the series would indeed be made. Filming is scheduled to commence September of 2020 which means the drama won’t even air until 2021. With season dramas there at least … Continue reading →
I feel like 2020 is starting out with a major statement towards the state of K-drama ratings using the statement the rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated. This Friday jTBC drama Itaewon Class got 10.716% ratings in episode 5 which is WILD, and makes this drama only the 3rd jTBC drama to break 10% following Sky Castle and Women of Dignity. … Continue reading →
The naysayers weren’t just wrong on the prognostication on tvN drama Crash Landing on You, it didn’t crash land in the least and instead is heading into the weekend with a chance to set new records. This weekend’s final two episodes 15 and 16 will have a chance to beat tvN record holder’s Goblin and Mr. Sunshine, and who knows … Continue reading →
The news cycle went fast with this one as mere 1-2 days went by before it was all reportedly cleared up. Last week rookie actor Lee Sin Young, who plays the handsome North Korean army soldier in Crash Landing on You, was accused in a SNS post by an anonymous poster of being a high school iljin (delinquent) and bully … Continue reading →
The K-drama formerly known as Sandbox has a new name and two new cast members. K-actress Kang Hana is joining the drama and earlier actor Kim Sun Ho also signed on. They round out the cast with already confirmed leads Suzy and Nam Joo Hyuk, and the drama in question has the new name of Startup, which is much clearer … Continue reading →
I really like Kim Bum but I can’t believe I forgot he was in military service for the past two years. I just thought he wasn’t working lol, but am glad to be reminded he was busy serving his duty and will be back soon. He’s already lined up his first project post discharge, joining Lee Dong Wook and Jo … Continue reading →
Oh lordy I love these first stills for upcoming tvN drama A Piece of Your Mind (Korean title Half of a Half). Starring Jung Hae In and Chae Soo Bin, it’s a melancholy tinged romance between an engineer of artificial intelligence and a classical music recording engineer. I’m so glad the hype around Jung Hae In, good and bad, from … Continue reading →
I’m excited to see how 2020 pans out for rising actor Lee Jae Wook after 2019 gave him the breakout role in MBC drama Extraordinary You. I loved his performance of the tsundere type angry male lead character but by the end I was tired of so many erupting angry all the time. Not his fault, just the character getting … Continue reading →
This is really sad news even of someone who didn’t yet make her impact in K-ent. Rookie actress Go Soo Jung reportedly passed away earlier this month of a fatal brain tumor, and she was only 24 years old. She has already been laid to rest and her agency confirms her passing after the news came out. She had a … Continue reading →
Might as well strike while the iron is hot, now that I got my book translating mojos back after a good 4 year hiatus. I posted the final chapter of Lost You Forever, my favorite C-romance novel of all time, but that’s not the final thing Tong Hua wrote for this story. She left an epilogue and it feels like … Continue reading →
