This is certainly the Taiwanese celeb wedding of the year, especially with many recent star electing to just register their marriage and skip having a ceremony. Top supermodel Lin Chi Ling and her husband Japanese singer Akira (Kurosawa Ryohei) are already legally married after registering their union a few months ago but this weekend on November 17th the couple is … Continue reading →
You know what, I’m actually keen on this casting and the interesting sounding story. Upcoming SBS drama titled Alice has finalized the two leads, namely Kim Hee Sun and Joo Won. I feel like they are just adults and the 10 year age difference doesn’t even bear mentioning in this particular pairing. It’s not a romance driven drama helps, Alice … Continue reading →
Okay, this is totally like the South Korea version of the Epstein case, and the public just feels helpless to do anything against such blatant sweeping under the rug. K-media is reporting that Big Bang‘s Seungri will enlist in the military, already lame because he’s so old and at the top end of enlistment age which K-netizens hate because it … Continue reading →
The long Chinese national nightmare is over. Ok, I exaggerate but goodness was this a bizarre and embarrassment saga for everyone involved. Married C-stars Li Xiao Lu and Jia Nai Liang released the same statement today via their respective agencies that they are already divorced. This caps a two year long tabloid fixture starting when she was caught cavorting with … Continue reading →
I’m a big sports fan in the Big Three for me: American football, basketball, and baseball, but even I had to look up what stove league was referring to. The title Stove League for the upcoming K-drama about baseball references the name hot stove league which denotes the off-season of baseball with images of the fans and players gathering around … Continue reading →
I haven’t been following along the sexual assault trial against singers Jung Joon Young and Choi Jung Hoon, along with a Mr. Kwon who is the older brother of Yuri of SNSD, an employee of club Burning Sun Mr. Kim, and a Mr. Heo who is worked at an entertainment agency. These men and their cohorts watching illegally and secretly … Continue reading →
K-actress Park Bo Young has announced that she’s taking a hiatus from the entertainment industry and thankfully it’s not too serious it sounds like. She’s been dealing for years now with an injured wrist area and has decided to put it on cast for 6 months for it to properly heal. She’ll not be working during this time and will … Continue reading →
I’m not sure SBS Fri-Sat drama Vagabond was done in by the several preemptions so far during it’s entire run due to baseball games. But it certainly didn’t help and now SBS is scrapping this entire weekend of new episodes so the final two episodes will air next Fri-Sat starting November 22nd. It’s a pretty ignominious end for a drama … Continue reading →
The drama title is Woman of 9.9 Billion but it’s accurately Woman of 9.9 Billion Won, and that makes it roughly 9 million USD and boy is there a difference in three zeros missing. It’s still a crap load of money and what female lead Jo Yeo Jung does with her unexpected largess seems to be hiding it and causing … Continue reading →
All perfect things inevitably show their mortality, who is ever fully perfect yes, and in week 7 the episodes of The Tale of Nokdu kinda thump softly on the ground of reality. The sweetness of a cute story of a cross-dressing boy who meets the love of his life has descended from those light airy days to the seriousness of … Continue reading →
I love Ha Ji Won and Yoon Kye Sang but I had a third reason to check out their upcoming jTBC melodrama Chocolate and that would be Jang Seung Jo. He’s made so many memorable and poignant supporting lead performances in the last two years and is showing his nuanced talent even in this just released character poster where so … Continue reading →
If the goal of MBC drama People With Flaws is to highlight the flaws in such obvious ways as to make me already loathe the two lead characters then this tactic is succeeding. The latest two posters join the first one released, all showing leads Ahn Jae Hyun and Oh Yeon Seo being annoying to each other. What’s with the … Continue reading →
One of the OG girl groups got back together this weekend straight from a scene in Best Love. Of course Yoon Eun Hye jumped out at me since she’s the only one I really know from Baby V.O.X., which was active from 1997-2006 and before Yoon Eun Hye became more famous as an actress. The entire group was quite popular … Continue reading →
