Which one is more handsome is totally subjective, though I have my preference now, but I also have enough data points to decide who I think is the better actor. Because I don’t follow K-pop, the new idol groups these past few years are all interchangeable to me and I don’t know any member until he/she tries a hand at … Continue reading →
In a bit of clumped together news update, Lee Jun Ki has had a quiet acting summer but was in the news recently for both professional and personal reasons. He recently landed the spokesperson role for Westin Chosun Hotel, part of the Marriott formerly Starwood chain and quite a luxurious property in Seoul. He’s also been his usual caring and … Continue reading →
This will be a polarizing post I’m sure but it’s nagging at me for why I adore watching MBC Wed-Thurs manhwa fantasy youth romance drama Extraordinary You but always finish an episode wishing it was better. It’s clear after 10 episodes that I have a problem with female lead Kim Hye Yoon. The good is that she’s a natural beauty … Continue reading →
Every time I scroll down this post I shake my head, each and every new picture I can’t help but shake my head. This is the weirdest collection of so-called couture outfits all courtesy of Louis Vuitton as the brand held an event in Seoul last week. There were so many A-listers and famous faces in attendance I cannot believe … Continue reading →
I normally associate chocolate with joy since it’s so darn tasty but this bon bon looks sad as heck in the first official poster and preview for jTBC drama Chocolate. Chef and baker Ha Ji Won falls in love with doctor Yoon Kye Sang against the picturesque backdrop of the countryside and plenty of food porn shots of chocolate infused … Continue reading →
Man, I have never seen a publicly more put upon husband than C-star Jia Nai Liang. His marriage is on the rocks again this weekend with the release of two videos showing his wife C-actress Li Xiao Lu with his former good friend rapper PG ONE, the two having been linked nearly two years ago in a cheating scandal complete … Continue reading →
Gallup released poll results for favorite K-star in South Korea for 2019 and topping the list in the first spot is veteran actor Choi Bool Am who isn’t even playing daddies anymore he’s the go-to granddaddy now in dramas and movies. Right behind him is everyone’s favorite grandmother/mother and all around perfect actress Kim Hye Ja, so clearly the audiences … Continue reading →
Yup, it’s all in the bone structure and it’s undeniable. The MBC Wed-Thurs high school youth romance drama Extraordinary You is basically fertile ground for new talent sourcing. Aside from Lee Jae Wook, there’s also fresh faced Kim Young Dae who is decent on the acting front but got my attention more for being a younger version of movie actor … Continue reading →
I don’t know why but the cheesier tvN drama Crash Landing on You looks the more excited I’m getting. It’s like the drama is being intentionally doofy in set up and even the cast seems in on the joke. At least that’s the vibe I’m getting from the second drama teaser just released where Son Ye Jin is hanging on … Continue reading →
Now that there is a new winner in the Best Onscreen Chemistry with Kim So Hyun category, I’m glad Taecyeon is sending some love to support his dongsaeng. Taec sent a food truck to the set of The Tale of Nokdu for Kim So Hyun, fully living up to his reputation of the sweetest of sweet dudes and also as … Continue reading →
The drama gods have finally steer Kim Dong Wook into a romance drama and this one sounds very swoony and potentially sad. Kim Dong Wook is in talks for MBC drama The Way He Remembers, with likely leading lady Moon Ga Young. In the typical drama opposites scenario, he’s a news anchor afflicted with a condition where he has a … Continue reading →
The eating one’s own doesn’t just happen in K-ent, the original purveyors of idol pop Japan had it’s own scandal this week with a very young and promising rookie. 17 year old Yahagi Moeka debuted last May and rose meteorically through the ranks of AKB48 to become the fastest ever member to make a single. She was voted center already … Continue reading →
So I marathoned MBC youth romance with a twist Extraordinary You over the weekend and am in LOVE and planning to rewatch existing episodes again just to catch all the details better. There’s a ton of characters at the high school and performance wise none stand out as much as second male lead Lee Jae Wook. He’s just got IT, … Continue reading →
