I normally dislike too dark K-drama posters but I LOVE these main character posters for upcoming jTBC sageuk My Country. It looks so intense and riveting, each of the leads bathed in shadows artfully. I mean, it’s a feat in itself to make everyone look good, from Yang Se Jong being so righteous and earnest, to melancholy and introspective Woo … Continue reading →
The K-ent paparazzi is funny, staging and posting these pictures as if it was uncovering something going on. The paps were at Incheon Airport this week and caught Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin at the airport at the same time, flying to the same place gasp! Of course the two stars of Crash Landed Love were dressed incognito rather … Continue reading →
The Asia Artist Awards started only three years ago in 2016 created by a few cable networks. This year it’s going to be held in Vietnam and announced as the MCs are singer Leeteuk and actress Lim Ji Yeon. The first female names to attend as presenters are out and include singer-actress Yoona currently with the summer blockbuster hit movie … Continue reading →
There’s a whole lotta camaraderie and cheer at the press conference for When the Camellia Blooms, a great sign for sure and definitely makes for a bright vibe. The three leads Gong Hyo Jin, Kang Ha Neul, and Kim Ji Suk were on hand to pose for pictures and answer press questions, goofing off comfortably with each other in contrast … Continue reading →
I don’t even know who this boy rapper B.I. is but even I know that seeing his before (famous) and after (under arrest) pictures is a stark reminder that don’t do drugs was a great program in the 1980’s in the US because I literally grew up with that mantra pounded into me. B.I. is the now former leader of … Continue reading →
C-ent rumors are about 80% hot, hot juicy honest to goodness tabloid gems and 20% random shit made up. It’s a high hit rate and also there have been some wild pairings, breakups, and cheating scandals in just the last ten years since social media and the new crop of Chinese stars conquered the scene. This week is off to … Continue reading →
It looks like congrats are in order for TW-singer Rainie Yang and her C-singer fiancee Li Rong Hao. The two are dominating the Mandarin-speaking newspapers today after a C-netizen spotted and photographed the two entering into the He Fei City (capital of Anhui Province) registrar’s office to get what appears to be a marriage license. The two officially announced their … Continue reading →
It’s finally time to start running for the titular Vagabond, a drama that finished filming months and months ago and feels like it’s been promoting for that long as well. The cast of the SBS Fri-Sat drama attended the press conference to kick off the week before the upcoming premiere this Friday and everyone looks super different than their characters … Continue reading →
The stars have aligned to pair up Park Min Young and Seo Kang Joon in a romance drama, and for some reason I thought these two have worked together before. Perhaps it stems from Park Min Young having acted opposite so many young, handsome, and buzzy male leads on her resume and now she’s adding one more. They are confirmed … Continue reading →
Okay, this looks cuter and cuter and it was already cute enough! In the latest teaser for The Tale of Nokdu, Jang Dong Yoon‘s fake widow turned fake mom to Kim So Hyun beats her handily at a game to decide who has to do what chore in their fake household. I’m sorry but the thought of them falling for … Continue reading →
This is a really interesting concept to unpeel, and plenty of movies and TV shows have touched upon it. Either time-travel or being frozen in time, there’s a rebirth of sorts once the character lands to kick off the story. For tvN drama Melt Me Softly, the year went from 1999 to 2019 and goodness I’ve lived a lifetime in … Continue reading →
Indulge me for once because I truly felt like I was back around 1999. That’s during the heyday of the Four Sky Kings and honestly the last period I even paid attention to Hong Kong’s most famous stars who all acted and sang. Fast forward 20 years (!) and over 50 years old Aaron Kwok is still holding a star-packed … Continue reading →
Well this is an interesting look for male lead Lee Seung Gi in the latest stills for his upcoming action vengeance drama Vagabond. He looks less vagabond and more petty street thug, what with the ashy blond hair, Hawaiian shit over sweat stained tank top, military pants, and flip flops. It’s awful and absolutely on point in conveying a rebellious … Continue reading →
