This is the cutest support visit ever and perfect as well for drumming up interest both ways. Recently discharged from the military Kim Soo Hyun made a surprise visit to the set of tvN drama Hotel Del Luna to support two of his former costars who are leads in the drama. He’s worked with IU twice before in Dream High … Continue reading →
I still don’t know what happened with his health last year but I’m glad to hear that young actor Kim Jung Hyun is making a comeback. He very publicly dropped out of a still airing drama Time last year citing health reasons, and I don’t know if he was openly miserable at the drama’s press conference because of said health … Continue reading →
The Taiwanese acting contingent may be smaller than their expansive Mainland colleagues but it’s always nice to see so many familiar faces stepping out in tandem to support a good cause. This weekend was the 2019 Taipei Film Awards, a more indie offering that suits the Taiwan film industry which has been more indie focused for two decades now. This … Continue reading →
This was a fast resolution and best for everyone involved. I’m sick of K-ent stars denying denying and denying criminal activity only to admit it in the end after irrefutable evidence is revealed. K-actor Kang Ji Hwan has admitted to the charges of rape and sexual assault on two women last week at his home after the three were hanging … Continue reading →
If the leads of Before We Get Married don’t get together soon imma not going to throw a table, I’ll just switch all my attention to best friend Ke Fei and best little sister Zi Ting. I can handle the conflicting emotions of Wei Wei and no I don’t want her to end an engagement and toss her boyfriend of … Continue reading →
I feel like I’m running out of the current crop of actors and actresses to write about, what with scandals and even simply falling off the popularity wagon. It’s that attrition which makes K-actress Shin Se Kyung‘s leading lady perch for the last decade impressive in light of her not having a single definitive drama or performance in her resume. … Continue reading →
I’ve got a new crack drama and thy name is Hotel Del Luna. With tempered expectations I clicked watch on the first episode and finished over an hour later wondering where the time went having been riveted from the first scene to the last. I like IU and am just ok with Yeo Jin Gu so it wasn’t the leads … Continue reading →
A bunch of dudes are going to take the train and hopefully it ends up better for them than for Gong Yoo in Train to Busan, or for the poor souls in the rear of the Snowpiercer. Leading men Lee Seon Kyun, Kim Nam Gil, and Lee Sang Yeob, along with stars Kim Min Sik and Go Gyu Pil, all … Continue reading →
I’m so not taking sides in the high profile divorce of Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki. Even if either or both were douchey to the other in their marriage, it’s between the two of them, and at this point nothing has been revealed that triggers me to think way poorly of one or the other. I just think … Continue reading →
K-ent variety shows love throwing celebrities into foreign locales and giving them a professional/homespun thing to do. Upcoming MBC variety program The Barber of Seville is sending Eric, Lee Min Jung, Andy, Jung Chae Yeon, and veteran Kim Kwang Kyu to Seville, Spain (of course) to run a hair salon. They will be working with a veteran of 53 years … Continue reading →
Imma stick the post topper picture of recently retired from HK-ent singer-actor Andy Hui with his cheating partner disgraced actress Jacqueline Wong because let’s not forget (this fast or ever at all) about his douchebaggery. Andy was caught three months ago cheating on his long time partner and wife top singer Sammi Cheng with a long make out session in … Continue reading →
I seriously cannot believe I’m writing a post about K-actor Kang Ji Hwan‘s real life perp walk. It’s not a scene from a drama where he plays a wrongfully accused hero that will soon get his redemption. This time there doesn’t seem to be a twist forthcoming as police have gotten pretrial detention for him claiming possibility of flight and … Continue reading →
There is a new Miss Korea and 2019 has crowned Kim Se Yeon as the Jin, of the Jin Seon Mi 1-2-3 titling of the Miss Korea winners. I’m less interested in yet another Miss Korea though this one doesn’t look cookie cutter and has shades of Honey Lee so me likey her more than the last few years. What … Continue reading →
