When I see a full moon shot I get the urge to breakout into Memory from Cats, dating myself of course lol. The upcoming Hotel Del Luna is all about the moon motif from the title to the supernatural beings that run, work at, and inhabit the titular hotel for the ghostly. They can only come out at night so … Continue reading →
Keeping pictorials fresh and pretty must get old for stylists, photographers, and the stars alike, not counting trying to never age. I’m finding actress Park Min Young really on top of her game in visuals these days, whatever she’s done to get and now maintain her whole package is the right sauce I want some of. After wrapping tvN drama … Continue reading →
I’m not greedy, I’ve hit the jackpot once with my bae Kim Jae Wook and I will forever be satisfied. If I ever need a hit like an addict I’ll just re-watch Her Private Life and Wookie can continue on picking challenging, weird, villainous, artsy roles all he wants to keep his acting experiences varied. This weekend he was in … Continue reading →
It’s been over ten years but the wait was worth it to see Ji Sung don his white coat and scrubs again. I became a Ji Sung fan after his New Heart and that’s still one of my fave medical dramas. He’s playing a different kind of doctor this time in the upcoming SBS drama Doctor John, with him and … Continue reading →
I love an event that is coordinated to the T and such is the launch of a new and weird looking skin care device this week in Seoul. The brand Cell Return hawking what appearances to be a technologically updated Man in the Iron Mask device brought together former Dream High 2 costars Park Seo Joon and Kang Sora as … Continue reading →
Men in suits are my weakness and there are two reasons to get weak at the knees from last weekend’s Berlutti fashion show in Paris. TW-actor Eddie Peng and K-actor Lee Min Ho were in attendance and wearing clothing from the fashion house. Eddie went with uber tailored, the European skinny suit in a fresh dark aubergine with a bit … Continue reading →
There’s yet another a surprise wedding announcement out of Japan this weekend, marking a string of J-ent weddings since last year that is seeing a wide swatch of the eligible members of the industry settling down. This one is a perennial baby-face but is actually older than most viewers think – actor Furukawa Yuki announced that he married his non-celeb … Continue reading →
Ugh, I hate it when small-minded jingoism ruins an otherwise happy moment with nary a thing to nitpick. C-actress Gao Yuan Yuan welcomed a baby girl at the end of May 2019 with her husband TW-actor Mark Chao and this weekend she updated her SNS to share a sweet update. It’s their baby girl’s man yue (full moon or 1 … Continue reading →
This is likely to come to fruition but the final format is still up in the air. Top K-movie actor Ha Jung Woo has verbally agreed to star in Kingdom PD’s next project called Suriname. It’s slated to be a Netflix drama but could also be done as a movie, which could go straight to video on Netflix like Bong … Continue reading →
I’m still waiting for summer (weather) to arrive where I live as June gloom as eaten up the entire month with barely any sun in sight. That’s why the latest July 2019 VoCE pictorial featuring one of my favorite J-actresses Aragaki Yui was a lovely breath of warm summer air straight from Okinawa. Gakki went back to Okinawa to showcase … Continue reading →
K-actress Han Ji Min is on such a roll it’s like she’s driving a Porsche and everyone else around her is in a Pinto. It’s a three-peat for this veteran actress as her acting in currently airing MBC drama Spring Night is deservingly garnering positive reviews, this on top of her last bravura performance in the tearjerking Dazzling (The Light … Continue reading →
I love the colors of upcoming tvN Sat-Sun drama Hotel Del Luna. The hotel itself is saturated bold colors of orange, yellow, purple and contrasted nicely with many outside night scenes pleasingly lit to actually see what’s going on. The latest 4th preview for the drama is it’s most substantive yet, showing multiple scenes lifted from the early episodes that … Continue reading →
I find it a feat of impossibility that French fashion house Louis Vuitton managed to turn K-actor Gong Yoo into a hobo, and one whose hobo-ness was accomplished by wearing a much too large suit. Gong Yoo is one of the tallest male actors in K-ent and he is literally swimming in his suit, and the second layer and too … Continue reading →
