The tagline for the Tod’s event in Seoul this week was “No_Code” but it may as well be “No_Style”. I dunno what’s gotten into the male stars in attendance but imma give them all a hard pass when I laid eyes on the lot. There was so much fugly hair on heads and plenty of equally fugly suits whether in … Continue reading →
The Wed-Thurs prime time drama slot continue to be so far off the heyday of ratings it’s not even entertaining anymore to keep track of the abysmal numbers. There were two dramas that premiered the same week which usually yields an interest in which won the night but here’s it’s like watching two people weakly slapfight. KBS fantasy drama Angel’s … Continue reading →
I’m not watching SBS Mon-Tues drama The Secret Life of My Secretary (I Loved You From the Beginning) with Kim Young Kwang and Jin Ki Joo but the drama is in the news this week for a real life misconduct. It was reported in the news that supporting actress Han Ji Sun, who has a short drama resume with this … Continue reading →
I’m so perplexed by upcoming KBS Mon-Tues drama Perfume it might be a good thing if it makes me check it out purely to sate my curiosity. I have no clue what it’s about and the snippets make male lead Shin Sung Rok alternatively seem like a serial killer in the making or a hapless rom-com male lead about to … Continue reading →
K-actress Kim Yoo Jung first debuted her dramatic hair cut from forever long to manic pixie last month at the airport jetting out of Korea. Looks like she made a stop in Macau because Nylon just released her new pictorial with Fila shot with certain iconic backdrops, and at first glance I thought she shot the pictorial in Las Vegas … Continue reading →
I’m getting this stark dichotomy after watching the just released four character teaser preview for tvN drama Arthdal Chronicles. It actually helps me make sense of the wildly varied previews so far. Leads Kim Ji Won and Song Joong Ki seem to be acting in a Disney version of a sageuk complete with perfectly applied face paint, artfully curled hair, … Continue reading →
Gotta leave it to Snapchat to find a new reason to bring folks back to the platform. The messaging app released a new baby filter that’s an immediate hit with users and even garner new users to try it out. Another earnest cutie returns his day job as actor Kang Ha Neul completed his mandatory military service this week and was honorably discharged. Waiting there to greet his megawatt smile were fans of the actor who welcomed him with presents and a whole lotta love. The manhwa to drama adaptations remain hit-or-miss but a solid hit always make up for the disappoints and keeps me interesting and hopeful anytime I hear another one in the works. Yoo Seung Ho will be making a drama return later this year with the drama adaptation of manhwa Super Star Ms. Lee. It’s a fantasy revenge tale when an … Continue reading →
On the flip side of Chinese rando starlets embarrassing the country by paying or even muscling their way onto the Cannes Film Festival red carpets, the illustrious two-some of China’s top goddesses Gong Li and also Zhang Zi Yi lent the proper halo of glamour back to the proceedings. Gong Li looked elegant and made waves for announcing her marriage … Continue reading →
Some onscreen pairings giving off sparks whether due to chemistry or as created by the story line, so for upcoming MBC Wed-Thurs romance Spring Night I’m going to say that both the leads and the story will deliver a slow and steady build up. Leads Han Ji Min and Jung Hae In attended the press conference this week along with … Continue reading →
The premise is out for Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin‘s upcoming K-drama and it’s pretty head scratchy. It’s either going to be epically good or so comically bad the only reason the two are doing it is so that they can get married afterwards in real life and claim it was this drama that brought them together after earlier … Continue reading →
