The concept for upcoming KBS drama Your House Helper (Your Butler) feels like a updated version of The Manny drama, but this one is adapted from a webtoon and has the look and feel of a quiet and serious drama. Starring Ha Suk Jin as the titular male lead from a rich and powerful family, he suddenly quits his high … Continue reading →

It’s finally June and I’m so ready for the start of summer namely my impending summer vacation to a warm beachy destination even though I’m trading my home turf version of warm and beachy for another. Each place has it’s own uniqueness outside of good weather and nice surf and sand, so it’s a treat seeing Lego Li in Vietnam … Continue reading →
The arrival of a big budget C-drama like Legend of Fuyao next Monday on June 18th makes me feel like summer really is here. That and also I’m on vacation and personally know that summer has arrived heh, but in terms of drama watching I equate it with C-dramas launching their big tent pole offerings to bring in the most … Continue reading →
I’ll give an uplifted finger of thanks to the drama gods for the unexpected surprise that was tvN spring Mon-Tues drama A Poem a Day. I really liked it! Centering around a team of physical therapy and rehabilitation doctors, the drama was quiet and thoughtful none moreso than male lead Lee Joon Hyuk. So it’s really apropos that female lead … Continue reading →

The results are in for the most talked about K-drama of the first half of 2018, and the winner is unsurprisingly the most polarizing drama so far in Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food (Something in the Rain). It’s rare to have a drama start off with high expectations, meet them, and then proceed to trample on all that goodwill … Continue reading →
Summer and full makeup are basically mortal enemies as the heat melts the layer of facial armor and the skin longs to breathe. It’s a breath of fresh air to see a new makeup pictorial featuring famous Chinese and Japanese actresses without a drop of makeup, barefaced and beautiful for the world to see. Tang Wei, Jessie Li, Ni Ni, … Continue reading →

Coming off what must have been a grueling shoot for tvN drama My Ahjusshi in both subject content and work load, it’s nice to be reminded that IU‘s character for the drama ended on a positive note after suffering for 15 plus episodes and in real life that happiness extends to IU getting positive reviews for her acting. I’m really … Continue reading →
The confirmation of Suzy for her next drama Vagabond reuniting with Lee Seung Gi is certainly going to generate plenty of buzz and mostly of the doubting kind. That’s fine even if I like both leads but really hated their first project together with Gu Family Book. It’s just so challenging to anticipate a drama with this nagging feeling that … Continue reading →
