A happy newlywed couple and expectant parents is double the joy to behold and such was the case this week when acting couple Lee Dong Gun and Jo Yoon Hee made an appearance at the Damiani store event in Seoul. They wore matching elegant black going out attire along with an increasingly similar face or what is known as husband-wife … Continue reading →
Daddyhood suits TW-actor Mike He, as does a perfectly tailored suit and posing for the cameras. He’s always been the charming type with a slight veneer of smarm that never crosses over the line, like the too cool boyfriend who is self-aware but toes the line on being too full of himself. Earlier this year Mike announced that he was … Continue reading →
Darker and serious themed dramas seem to be the ones getting good reviews this year so hopefully OCN has the right execution and cast lined up for its upcoming grim reaper soul swap drama Black. Taking over from Save Me (and followed by Bad Guys 2), Black tells the story of a grim reaper cast off from heaven played by … Continue reading →
Another expectant K-actress joins the baby watching queue, which at this point is basically going to pop out a baby a month come this fall. So far there’s Kim Tae Hee, Jeon Ji Hyun, Hwang Jung Eum, So Yi Hyun, Jo Yoon Hee, Lee Shi Young, and I’m sure there is a few I’ve left off. This beautifully expectant group is now … Continue reading →

Sometimes you hear of something forthcoming and just think “NOPE” and this is one of those for me. Disgraced but not criminally liable Korean singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong is reportedly planning a year end music comeback, to the sound of his loyal fans clapping and the rest of the world face palming. I’m sure he’s made enough money over the … Continue reading →
Holy three-peat goodness, if this casting comes through I’ll be soooooo happy! Still serving in the military K-star Lee Seung Gi is already fielding comeback offers even though he won’t be discharged until October. As a triple threat of acting, singing, and variety, not to mention always being so dutiful and polite in his behavior, has made this young man … Continue reading →
Trying to figure out if idol-actress Suzy has short or long hair in real life currently is taking on a sleuthing mind of its own. First it looked like she cut it off way short for her role in SBS drama While You Were Sleeping, then she was seen in CFs and at events with her usual long lustrous locks … Continue reading →
It’s new drama Wednesday as KBS premieres the time-traveling wacky romance Manhole (Wonderland’s Feel or Feels So Good) taking over from the teary intense sageuk Seven Days Queen. Opposite the already airing The Man Who Dies to Live and Reunited Worlds, Manhole’s episode 1 ratings are so low it might as well crawl back inside the proverbial manhole. Episode 1 … Continue reading →
Having a favorite star be the brands spokesperson doesn’t incite me to buy the products but that’s likely due to my having strong ideas of what I like and don’t like based on efficacy. With that said, having a beloved star promote a product does make me take note of the item when watching the CF and that along builds … Continue reading →
It’s a little over a month away for actor Kang Ha Neul‘s upcoming military enlistment on September 11, 2017, giving him time to promote his cop caper movie Midnight Runners with costar Park Seo Joon but having him drop out of upcoming drama sequel Bad Guys 2. He’s been such a hard working acting presence since his breakout role in … Continue reading →
I really think the Chinese audience would be as turned off by the wholesale idea copying of popular K-ent variety shows if they knew the backstory of where the current popular C-versions are from. The Rap of China is the most prominent show under scrutiny for the straight up copying in format and concept of Show Me the Money, and … Continue reading →
A fantastic pictorial needs to be shared and this latest gem from Vogue Taiwan visually marries the exquisite Taiwanese top model Lin Chi Ling with the Euro splendor of Monaco. That Lin Chi Ling is 42 year old doesn’t even phase because she’s even more beautiful if you ask me, she seemed gawkier during her heyday but now has an … Continue reading →
