This upcoming period C-drama looks so bad it brings back memories of the hilarity of Go Princess Go, and then suddenly I’m more interested. It’s probably due to the costuming and same male lead in Sheng Yi Lun, as well as the equally ridiculous romance novel type of title of Oh My General, but this silly little C-drama has managed … Continue reading →
There is only so much an actor or actress can do to keep one-upping themselves. At some point they butt up against an iconic performance or a once in a lifetime role. I breathed a huge sigh of relief when Kim Soo Hyun followed up You From Another Star with Producer, going from too cool super powered alien professor to … Continue reading →
SBS must be feeling a huge sigh of relief, and sharing a proverbial high five for continuing its prime time drama ratings dominance. Newly premiered Mon-Tues drama Defendant came in the ratings leader with around 14% ratings for the first two episodes, and now the first two episodes of Wed-Thurs new arrival Saimdang: Light’s Diary is also a winner for … Continue reading →
The official drama posters are out for upcoming jTBC drama Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and it looks as charming as I had hoped. Not just in lead Park Bo Young doing her best petite Hercules impression, her male leads Park Hyung Sik and Ji Soo have the best expressions around her lift heavy things like a car and even … Continue reading →
Talk about bringing in the big guns, but then again it’s nice having best friends of such incredibly popular caliber that playing second fiddle gives fans two for the price of one. Park Bo Gum held a sold out fan meeting in Taiwan over the weekend, arriving to greet boisterous fans excited to see a breakout star after his last … Continue reading →
It can’t always be only good news so it’s with a saddened heart that I share the update that news of three K-ent couples having broken up came out all within the week. First came the drama couple On Joo Wan and Jo Bao, who met on the set of Surplus Princess and dated for almost three years. They were a … Continue reading →
It’s time to bid farewell to the other high profile winter K-drama, following the conclusion of Goblin over the weekend is today’s final episode 20 for Legend of the Blue Sea. The final episode clocked in at 17.9% ratings, in line what it was averaging during the majority of its run, but a drop from last episode’s series high of … Continue reading →
With two high profile K-ent weddings last week, Rain and Kim Tae Hee‘s low key Catholic church nuptials followed by Ryu Soo Young and Park Ha Sun‘s elegant sunny ceremony, it’s a fitting time to check in on a couple who got their happily ever after quite a few years ago and are still going strong. Married acting couple Eugene … Continue reading →
It’s a bit of an unfortunate coincidence to have three instances of fashion heresy on the same week, and in this case one offender did it twice with two different fugly outfits. Lots of premieres are coming in dramas and movies which affords fans the opportunity to see oppa and unni doing press conferences, and also the opportunity to see … Continue reading →
It’s farewell time for the other high profile K-drama currently airing, after Goblin signed off last weekend it will be curtains this Wednesday as Legend of the Blue Sea airs the final episode 20. The drama never lived up to it’s creative premise as a K-drama take on The Little Mermaid tale, turning it into the currently popular idea of … Continue reading →
It’s finally payback time after four long years, and I mean that in a good way with much excitement. Newly minted Golden Bell Best Actor winner Chris Wu, who won for period drama A Touch of Green in late 2016, and also won Best Supporting Actor in 2015 for Wake Up, is going back to SETTV to make an idol … Continue reading →
It’s with an content and appreciative heart that I send Goblin off with a fare thee well as this past weekend’s three episode binge wrapped things up for the fantasy drama. It wasn’t perfect but it was nearly perfect in how much I was enchanted by the creative story. Screenwriter Kim Eun Sook melded her usual snappy dialogue and modern … Continue reading →
It’s great news for Ji Sung and also an impressive overall streak for SBS as new Mon-Tues drama Defendant debuted with respectable first episode ratings of 14.5% AGB nationwide. That’s less than half of what predecessor Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim ended with, but that drama started off with similar ratings as Defendant and kept increasing as it aired so time … Continue reading →
