One side benefit of Moon Geun Young choosing the SBS corpse mystery thriller The Village (Achiara’s Secret) as her next drama is all the great flashbacks to one of her best movies in The Tale of Two Sisters. She wasn’t anywhere near being the lead, not with Im Soo Jung, Uhm Jung Ah and Kim Gab Soo around, but that … Continue reading →
Now I’m wondering if the media has tons of secret YoonJae shippers, how else to explain why K-ent overly covered the week end military performance event where former DBSK group mates Yunho and Jaejoong were in joint attendance. Yunho was the MC while Jaejoong performed, so they weren’t even interacting or on the same stage at any given time, but … Continue reading →
Park Bo Gum is like a tall glass of ice cold milk for me, deliciously refreshing and wholesome, but also sexy because of all the nutrients within. That’s my way of saying that he’s more than just a pretty pretty face, which is undeniable, but also comes with riveting acting potential lurking inside. His casting as the male lead in … Continue reading →
I wrote a few months back about the manhwa So I Married an Anti-fan getting a K-drama adaptation. The whole idea just sounds like an updated version of Full House, what with the commoner and the top star in reluctant fake marriage/cohabitation, except upping the stakes with the common girl being an anti-fan of the male lead rather than just … Continue reading →
There has been so much drama news coming out of SBS lately, of equal good and measure variety, so what’s one more added to the mix, right? The network is currently prepping a heartwarming fantasy drama for early 2016 based on the well received Japanese novel Tsubakiyama Kacho no Nanokakan (translated as Director Tsubakiyama’s 7 Days Time) by writer Asada … Continue reading →
This is an unique foursome set to show up at the same fashion event, but you won’t hear me complaining since I like all four and am loving the black and white stylings of said event. Hyun Bin, Go Ara, Yoo Ji Tae, and Lee Yo Won attended the Uniqlo and Lemaire event in Seoul this week, the launch of a … Continue reading →
I wonder what Ji Chang Wook fans think about this upcoming casting news? From a career progression perspective, I think it’s a smart move as long as he’s vetted the production and script as going into China would be a logical next step for him. Ji Chang Wook is apparently confirmed for upcoming Korean-Chinese joint produced drama My Male God. … Continue reading →
While I’m not terribly devastated that upcoming drama Goodbye Mr. Black lost its time slot on SBS following soon-to-premiere drama The Village (Achiara’s Secret), overall it is something to lament because the cast of Moon Chae Won, Lee Jin Wook, Kim Kang Woo, and Song Jae Rim has the combination of charm and acting talent to pave over the usual … Continue reading →
The timing feels a bit off for upcoming tvN drama Bubblegum, it’s the drama following Rude Miss Young Ae on Mon-Tues but I keep thinking it’s going to be Cheese in the Trap since that drama was announced first. Starring Lee Dong Wook, Jung Ryeo Won, Lee Jong Hyuk, and Park Hee Bon, the drama is set in a radio … Continue reading →
If upcoming TW-drama Marry Me, or Not was a blind date, I’d probably marry it sight unseen based on the strength of the two leads unknown. Reuniting hit drama Office Girl’s Roy Qiu and Alice Ke, this time the two trade sweet awshucks type banter for more chic and high powered work place romance. There is always the potential for … Continue reading →
This year’s 50th annual Golden Bell Awards went down last weekend glittering with more top stars than usual, and the winner were nicely spread across the board with none of the usual grumbling afterwards. The biggest drama winners were for the Ruby Lin produced and starred drama The Way We Were (16 Summers) – while Ruby lost out on Best … Continue reading →
While I’m happy that upcoming Kim Eun Sook penned K-drama Descendants of the Sun is getting the full pre-produced treatment, that does make the wait for it to arrive on the small screen feel interminable. Case in point, October is right around the corner which marks the initial dates promised for the drama’s premiere, except now the whole kit and … Continue reading →
Japan woke up to a huge entertainment world news shocker Monday morning – top singer-actor Fukuyama Masaharu got married to secret actress girlfriend Fukiishi Kazue. There is a 13 year age gap between the couple, with Masa being 46 years old while Kazue is 33 this year, but the couple have apparently been dating for a few years now if rumored … Continue reading →
