Well, at least this is less in-your-face-SM than Tao‘s first solo single was, and by and large it’s catchy enough to not suck outright. With all of Luhan‘s nonstop acting projects announced left and right, one would think he’s an aspiring actor (which he is) and forget that he started out as a boy band singer in EXO. He’s rectifying that … Continue reading →
I appreciate that the production team for upcoming Go Lala Go 2 (aka Du Lala Marriage Chasing Chronicles) managed to assemble the dream cast of Ariel Lin, Vic Zhou, and Bolin Chen in one movie, but can they be on top of things and give me a movie trailer by now? What’s the point of having three Golden Bell best … Continue reading →
Upcoming KBS Mon-Tues drama Sassy Go Go is trying its hardest to dish out the perky and cute in equal measure and so far it’s succeeding with me. The first previews were intentionally dorky and silly but got the point across – this is one earnest school yard tale about kids navigating the pitfalls of high school life using cheer or … Continue reading →
The production is making one final push for upcoming Korean-Chinese joint production movie The Third Way of Love, premiering month end on September 30th. It’s actually a big premiere date in China, unlike the September no-mans land in US movie releases, since October 1 begins the week off of holiday to celebrate National Day. I don’t know if the movie … Continue reading →
Once in a blue moon a cutie will come along that strikes my fancy, acting talent or lack thereof bedamned, and then I just want to follow along with his career. That’s totally what happened when I stumbled upon current manga adaptation It Boy Yamazaki Kento thanks to the hot mess that was the LDK movie adaptation which came out … Continue reading →
Please tell me that I’m not the only one who did major double takes at the pictures of Park Shin Hye and Suzy attending separate brand CF events this week in Seoul looking like twins from head to toe. Like, seriously from the first strand of hair on their pretty heads all the down to their tiny pinky toe. Okay, … Continue reading →
SBS is getting a lot more buzz on the Wed-Thurs time slot with Yongpal, but Mrs. Cop on Mon-Tues is also leading the ratings against its competition. Hopefully the buzz will come back once Mrs. Cop ends this week and Six Flying Dragons start next week. There are new posters and character teaser aplenty for Six Flying Dragons, clearly SBS … Continue reading →
Now this is how to do nostalgia right, and with triple the eye candy to boot! Crystal Liu posted a reunion picture on her SNS this weekend that has all wuxia fans buzzing – she attended a dinner with the production of the 2003 C-drama adaptation of Demi-gods and Semi-devils and afterwards playfully did a martial arts pose with her … Continue reading →
It’s starting to feel like there are too many upcoming C-dramas to keep track of, which is not a big deal since I can pick and choose what catches my fancy and ignore the rest. C-writer Gu Man has been popular for quite some time but thanks to the recent drama adaptations of her two most popular novels Silent Separation … Continue reading →
The K-media is taking note of a recent Chinese newspaper article discussing which of the younger generation actresses will be the next Jeon Ji Hyun. Ms. Gianna Jun’s combined popularity domestically in Korea and internationally cannot be arguably unparallel, and thanks to You From Another Star got a stunning second wind that any actor or actress bend over backs for. … Continue reading →
The work week is wrapping up with two Song Joong Ki‘s for the price of one, which makes me want to buy a lottery ticket for the heck of it. Song Joong Ki has been deep into the filming of upcoming KBS drama Descendants of the Sun and the production released a really super duper direct good look at him as … Continue reading →
This has been a good week for Moon Chae Won, in the span of days she got not just one but two male costars for her upcoming SBS drama Goodbye Mr. Black, and even better is that neither is a losing proposition. Talk about win-win for Ms. Moon. Lee Jin Wook isn’t letting one stinker of an SBS drama dissuade … Continue reading →
I still remember the time when this novel was popular, but it feels like so long ago I’m not sure the audience is out there for another adaptation. There is a movie version of Summer’s Desire (泡沫之夏) coming along, produced by HK star Gigi Leung and starring a bunch of fresher faced young stars. Many folks may remember the 2010 … Continue reading →
