This is one of the rare good news to come out of the good news shortage 2020 so far. Japanese idols Yamashita Tomohisa and Kamenashi Kazuya have reunited for a May 2020 mini dome tour starting in Osaka and ending on Tokyo. The two worked together musically first as the fictional Shuji to Akira named after their characters in hit dorama Nobuta wo Produce (still my absolute fave). They reunited in 2017 for Kame’s dorama You Are My Destiny as Kame to Yamapi and that duo is back for a 2020 twirl with a Latin themed single “Amor” that sounds like Shunji and Akira grew up to become emo Latin lovers brooding down in Bogota. The first single is out so check it out for yourselves as a weird 2020 throwback to 2005, except the beautiful amazing Horikita Maki is now retired and the mother of two. Oh how time never looks back.

The recently premiered J-dorama You Are My Destiny is off to a solid start and I’m liking what I’ve seen so far after episode 1. It’s not as cracktastic as male lead Yamashita Tomohisa‘s last dorama From Five to Nine … Continue reading
It’s T-minus 4 days from the premiere of new romance J-dorama You’re My Destiny (Boku, Unmei no Hito desu), with a super cute wrapping of a love prone hapless male lead with his no-nonsense capable female lead crush being brought … Continue reading
This dorama continues to look cute and cuter, or maybe that’s due to the reunion combination of Yamashita Tomohisa and Kamenashi Kazuya shading everything in rosy tinted Nobuta nostalgia. It could be both, with Yamapi’s last rom-com being the most … Continue reading
This dorama looks majorly adorable, as hoped and expected when I hear the three leads casting consisting of three of my J-ent baes. There’s Kamenashi Kazuya doing his version of the earnest lovelorn suitor, Yamapi as his magical and cool … Continue reading
I super can’t wait for the arrival of spring romance dorama I’m Your Destiny (Boku, Unmei no hitodesu), not just for the reunion of bromance from ten years ago Yamashita Tomohisa and Kamenashi Kazuya but also for the promised cuteness … Continue reading
Waaaaaaaaa, this is the best J-dorama casting news for nostalgia fans, and highly promising news for those wanting a dorama rom-com. Twelve years after their hit dorama collaboration in Nobuta wo Produce, Yamashita Tomohisa and Kamenashi Kazuya is reuniting for … Continue reading
A couple of months ago I did a write up on TW-actors and TW-actresses, which was relatively easy to do since there just aren’t that many of them occupying the perch as certifiable leads. The same isn’t true elsewhere, which … Continue reading
It’s time for another installment of Pimp That Drama. The first post was months ago, when I pimped out Hotaru no Hikari, and in the interim I simply got swept up into a veritable tidal wave of love for a … Continue reading
