Okay, episode 5 of Flower of Evil cements it for me. I LOVE THIS DRAMA. It’s totally Nice Guy on steroids and also starring Moon Chae Won and switching one of my baes Song Joong Ki for Lee Jun Ki and grounded by an interesting story with still so much ground to cover. Episode 5 got 2.973% ratings as the … Continue reading →
September looks to start off smoldering with the vestiges of the Indian summer thanks the stylish swindling efforts of the leads of upcoming jTBC drama Private Life. The drama premieres the first week of September in the Wed-Thurs time slot following Can We Love, and changes the tone from woman searching for love for lots of robin hood type crooks … Continue reading →
The makeup brush is going to be female lead Park So Dam‘s closest costar in upcoming tvN aspirational and romance drama Record of Youth. I hope she has just as good chemistry with male lead Park Bo Gum, lol, because she’s going to be spending plenty of time using that makeup brush on his character who is a model aspiring … Continue reading →
Normally I don’t want script readings all the time but this one totally entertained me plus I am really curious about this drama. tvN released the official script reading video and interviews with the three leads of upcoming fantasy drama Tale of Gumiho, not to be confused with My Girlfriend is a Gumiho or Gu Family Book. This tale transports … Continue reading →
Sigh, this is what happens when the product value drops and people find alternative options. If I could watch K-dramas on television to help with domestic ratings I would because I love the variety available and to know that low ratings = fewer CFs sold = losing money which ultimately leads to fewer K-dramas being produced and that sucks. K-ent … Continue reading →
Get ready for some geek talk with venture capital thrown in for good measure. Upcoming tvN drama Start-Up (formerly Sandbox) with Suzy, Nam Joo Hyuk, and Kim Sun Ho has bee filming since the spring and is confirmed this week for a premiere date in October 2020. The drama will take over the Sat-Sun time slot after Secret Forest 2 … Continue reading →
It’s time to say goodbye to It’s Okay to Not be Okay and I’m most loathe to bid farewell to male lead Moon Kang Tae. I feel like his character still has the most untold changes in the future, what career will he pick after going back to school and how will he navigate finally putting himself first and also … Continue reading →
Oh gosh, so many feels! I can’t believe that it’s been as long as 11 years now since one of the crackiest K-dramas to ever grace the small screen aired. I’m talking about Brilliant Legacy/Shining Inheritance which forever gets to use both titles whenever it’s being discussed because it was just that entertaining a watch. Starring uber young Lee Seung … Continue reading →
Woo hoo, I feel like the drama gods are timing things perfectly for me. With Kim Soo Hyun‘s drama It’s Okay to Not be Okay done (sheer amazeballs good), I can now switch years and start charting course for early winter when Song Joong Ki returns to the small screen with Vincenzo. The cast held the first script reading today … Continue reading →
Two decades of Hallyu dramas under the belt leaves me a bit jaded and always guarded for the other shoe to drop, namely a really crappy ending. Not that an ending is unhappy for the OTP, even happy endings have been crappy because it’s unsatisfying in tying up loose ends and giving the characters their proper conclusion. Everything about the … Continue reading →
This weekend’s first drama finale was on SBS with its Fri-Sat drama Backstreet Rookie (Convenience Store Morning Star) ending its 16-episode run on Saturday. The drama got it’s highest rating ever of 9.5% in the second half of the final episode, and the drama averaged 6.6% AGB nationwide. That’s a whole point lower than predecessor The King: Eternal Monarch which … Continue reading →
Whenever there is a tragedy in K-ent there is also netizens wishing there was a cry for help before making those irrevocable decisions. In this case there is a loud, repeated, and direct cry for help from former AOA member Mina (Kwon Min Ah) and yet we’re still seeing her situation deteriorate. Mina accused AOA leader Jimin of emotional and … Continue reading →
I think it’s natural viewers are confused and it’s a bit polarizing in It’s Okay to Not be Okay that female lead Moon Young’s psychotic and sociopathic mom is back, but the writer paved the way from the very beginning so it’s not one of those last minute scares. Moon Young is so messed up she didn’t just grow up … Continue reading →
