Song Hye Kyo Glows in New Jewelry Pictorial and Shares Her Emotional Trust in Family and Close Friends

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

K-actress Song Hye Kyo has had a quiet 2020 so far, good for her as her 2019 was tumultuous in personal life as 2020 akin to what it has been for the world this year. She’s long since grown out her very short bob from filming 2019 drama Boyfriend (Encounter) and traded the stodgy straight laced outfits of her character … Continue reading →

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

There’s a lot going on with upcoming KBS drama Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol and it feels like there should be something for a lot of different tastes going in. It’s male lead Lee Jae Wook‘s big promotion to first lead after breaking out last year with Extraordinary You, and a return to rom-com for Go Ara after … Continue reading →

Married Couple Jo Jung Seok and Gummy Welcome First Child Together

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

Congrats is in order and honestly I’m even a little envious of how well these two have managed their careers and personal life together. Married K-ent couple actor Jo Jung Seok and singer Gummy welcomed the arrival of their first child this week, a baby girl. Cue the awwwwwwws from here to infinity because Jo Jung Seok is so going … Continue reading →

The Cast of It’s Okay Not be Okay Get Ready to Say Goodbye with Final 2 Episodes This Weekend

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

It’s finale weekend for weekend drama It’s Okay to Not be Okay, and it’s been a fantastic ride even with the rather unorthodox turn in last weekend’s episodes. Since it’s live streamed on Netflix I watch it on TV rather than my computer and oftentimes Mr. Koala and the Koala Teens wander by and watch a few minutes and ask … Continue reading →

Well this is certainly big casting news. On the heels on earlier reporting that top movie actress Jeon Do Yeon is coming back to the small screen soon, now she’s got a leading man and he’s quite the quirky charmer. Ryu Jun Yeol is in talks to join the award winning Jeon Do Yeon in the upcoming drama Disqualified From … Continue reading →

Flower of Evil Goes From Good to Great Starting in Episode 3 as Ratings Go Back Up to 3.116%

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

This past weekend I caught up on Flower of Evil, and all that kissing and making out between the OTP aside, the first 2 episodes were merely good. A lot of stage setting and hints but we don’t get to form an emotional connection right off the bat with the characters. Lee Jun Ki‘s Hee Sung is too “acting evil” … Continue reading →

jTBC Fri-Sat Drama Number of Cases with Ong Seung Woo and Shin Ye Eun Release New Stills of the Main Young Cast

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I was really impressed with the young male leads of last year’s cult hit drama Extraordinary You, mainly because I had zero expectations. I’m going into upcoming jTBC drama Number of Cases (Probability) the same way with respect to male lead Ong Seung Woo, he’s so rising profile these days being a Wanna One member and later pursuing his main … Continue reading →

C-netizens Can’t Get Enough of the So-called Training Camp Agency for Aspiring Rich Wives With Top Successes Marrying Aaron Kwok and Now Wilber Pan

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

This the most entertaining C-ent news story of the week, probably of the month for me for how embarrassing it must be for the rich men involved and the ladies unable to deny the exact same pictures. Like, the picture above I’ve now seem three different women in the exact same shot and that poor apple! The whole table is … Continue reading →

Choi Jin Hyuk is a Fashion Blind Zombie Detective in First Stills with Leading Lady Park Joo Hyun

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I love the South Korean predilection for smushing two unlikely things together and calling it a drama topic. We have Vampire Prosecutor and Vampire Idol and now Zombie Detective. Starring Choi Jin Hyuk and Park Joo Hyun, this has to be a super silly drama but it also could be unintentionally funny by trying to be silly, I don’t know … Continue reading →

Yoon Shi Yoon and Kyung Soo Jin Exchange the Tense Darkness of OCN Drama Train for Cheery Marie Claire Korea Pictorial

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

Thanks to the addicting and well-drafted parallel worlds thriller drama Train, I’m over my Kyung Soo Jin allergy and reinvigorated with my Yoon Shi Yoon love. The drama is tightly compacted in its mythology about the parallel worlds and probably falls apart in wider focus but it does so well in picking a central focus with Yoon Shi Yoon’s Do … Continue reading →
