Cha Seung Won Admits He is Not the Birth Father of Son Cha No Ah in Light of Paternity Lawsuit

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

Cha Seung Won is one of my early K-actor faves and continues on to this day when I’ll check out any drama if he’s in it. With that said, it’s shocking and sad to hear that he’s embroiled in a legal case aimed at unearthing his personal life privacy by turning it into something as makjang as a weekend K–drama birth … Continue reading →

So Yi Hyun and In Kyo Jin Get Married with Celeb Friends in Attendance Including Moon Geun Young

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

A low profile K-celeb couple got married this past week and if it wasn’t for one of my fave actresses in attendance might’ve slipped my radar. I’m glad it didn’t because So Yi Hyun and In Kyo Jin tying the knot was A-dorable from beginning to end. The two wore matching cheek-to-cheek grins with their entire face and body lighting … Continue reading →

Jo In Sung and Kim Min Hee Break Up as Dispatch Releases Pictures of Him with Gong Hyo Jin

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

Looks like Korea’s getting on the potentially messy love quadrangle action that’s been dominating the headlines over in Greater China last week with the reunion romance of two of Hong Kong’s biggest stars. It’s been an ongoing saga of innuendo of the “are they-aren’t they” questions ever since Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin wrapped their critically well-received K-drama … Continue reading →

Police in Kim Hyun Joong Case to Refer One Assault Charge to the Prosecutor for Indictment

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

At this point in the ongoing police investigation on the Kim Hyun Joong domestic violence case, it wouldn’t be newsworthy other than him being such a well known Korean celebrity. The reason it’s not newsworthy stems from victim “A” dropping the charges against her ex-boyfriend Kim Hyun Joong and there are simply too many cases of assault and battery happening within … Continue reading →

Kim Sun Ah Posts Adorable Selca of Her with Good Friend Jang Hyuk

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

It’s been awhile since Kim Sun Ah has been out in the public eye and that’s mostly due to her working less these past two years. The Faye Wong-Nic Tse Reunion Story Gets Even Juicier with Pregnancy Rumors

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

If the recent explosive rumors about Faye Wong and Nicholas Tse are all true, then real life is surely way more fantastical than even fanfiction. Hot on the heels of an intrepid paparazzi team that staked out HK singer-actress Faye Wong’s Beijing luxury condo to capture a four day stay-in love fest with her reunited ex-boyfriend Nic Tse, there has … Continue reading →

Unintentional Hilarity Mixes with Motorcycle Cool in Lee Min Ho’s Latest Chinese CF

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

This is too unintentionally hilarious not to share. Not to say Lee Min Ho doesn’t at times look quite striking and handsome playing the part of a motorcycle lover in hawking a brand of Chinese electric and gas-powered motorcycles, but there are too many silly asides that turn what was meant to come across as cool and instead ends up … Continue reading →

Nicky Wu and Liu Shi Shi Still Going Strong with Rumors of Impending Marriage and/or Baby

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

Who’s tired of the deluge of negative news coming out of K-ent lately? Not to pick on that particular industry but it could use a dating shocker or three right about now to wash away the slime of violence and blackmail and affairs and dodgy car accidents. Last year’s K-ent dating flood appears to have slowed to a trickle by … Continue reading →

Bombshell HK-ent Dating News as High Profile Exes Faye Wong and Nicholas Tse Get Back Together

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I don’t write about HK entertainers much since by and large I’ve stopped watching TVB and ATV HK-dramas. HK movies have also declined from the Golden Age in the late 80’s through the late 90’s in terms of creative and fun output. I still keep up to date on the latest on-dits in the HK entertainment scene and last month all … Continue reading →

The Two Nodames Meet as Ueno Juri and Shim Eun Kyung Cross Paths in Seoul this Week

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I was excited enough writing about how the J-dorama version of Nodame played by Ueno Juri just happened to be in Korea at the same time that the K-drama version of Nodame Shim Eun Kyung had just started filming Tomorrow’s Cantabile. Then comes the icing on the cake seeing a picture of the two lovely ladies meeting during Juri’s visit … Continue reading →
