TW-actor Chris Wu (Wu Kang Ren) has been a fave of mind since he debuted nearly two decades ago and he’s become so established and award winning I would compare him to the TW-ent version of K-ent’s Namgoong Min. In those years he’s worked only in Taiwan but that’s changed now as he signed with a Mainland Chinese agency last … Continue reading →
After a few weeks of the costuming atrocity coming out of the xianxia C-drama set of Love Beyond the Grave, this is a bit of eye bleach to cleanse the fugly. New filming stills are out from the set of wuxia C-drama Tales of Dark River and show leads Gong Jun and Peng Xiao Ran filming a scene together when … Continue reading →
Dang, pass the popcorn here with this deja vu, another instance of C-stars strong fandom turning against him/her. C-actor Zhang Ling He was recently confirmed for period drama Chasing Jade with Tian Xi Wei, the billing order hasn’t been confirmed but he’s most likely top billed. His fandom has lodged a public and loud protest with his agency demanding that … Continue reading →
Now this drama isn’t on deck yet or rumored to be airing soon but it’s still interesting to see how much male lead Deng Wei‘s situation has changed in the year since it was filmed. Xianxia C-drama Love of the Divine Tree got Deng Wei his first big top billed male lead role right after he broke out with Lost … Continue reading →
The schedule is set for Fangs of Fortune to arrive end of this month October on iQiyi. There is already so much promo for it for months so it’s definitely director Guo Jing Ming‘s fave child for sure, with an ending song dance MV and now an opening credits song MV and also additional trailers and Weibo vids interspersed. Starring … Continue reading →
It’s rare to see an actor or actress have three lead role dramas airing in such short proximity and it’s happening for Zhang Wan Yi. He was male lead in Lost You Forever Part 2 which actually should have really accentuated his character based on the story line in the second half of the LYF novel but the drama editing … Continue reading →
It’s been a great two years for Zhao Jin Mai, with many of her recently aired dramas from Reset to Amidst a Snowstorm of Love and The Princess Royal all sold hits. Plus she has big dramas on deck with Drifting Away and Our Generation and recently landed soon to start filming drama Blazing Sunlight. All of this is to … Continue reading →
When I see how fast C-stars rises and falls can be I am so supportive of the work until you can’t anymore mentality like in pro sports. So stars that seem to be in so many dramas it’s a testament to productions wanting him/her, case in point Zhang Ling He. He’s confirmed to go from filming modern drama Our Generation … Continue reading →
This drama within a drama is totally more interesting for me than I think the actual drama will be. It’s going on three weeks now of complaints from mostly Dilraba Dilmurat and her fandom about the unattractive and cheap looking costuming (hair, makeup, and outfits) for the xianxia drama Love Beyond the Grave. To be fair to the drama, the … Continue reading →
There is a reason why the abused stay with the abuser for way longer than they should, and the same goes for artists stuck with Yu Zheng who does a lot to make his stars famous but also milks each star to the max. This week Yu Zheng went on a publicity rant about the drama Tang Palace Strange Cases … Continue reading →
So it’s a mixed bag with Allen Ren‘s currently airing drama Love of Nirvana, initially it was deemed a flop from the premiere numbers but in recent days has actually been inching up in views and positive reviews. That should be a relief for iQiyi as it’s tapped Allen to be the male lead for the recently started filming xianxia … Continue reading →
So this latest melon on the airing date of The Demon Hunter’s Romance (无忧渡 Wu You Du) is solid enough to share, even if it still can get moved due to unknown factors. But that industry chatter says iQiyi has indeed tentatively slotted The Demon Hunter’s Romance with Allen Ren and Song Zu Er for the end of October 2024 … Continue reading →
A new C-drama has just cast its leads and I love the pairing! Blazing Sunlight a novel by writer Gu Man is getting a drama adaptation and the leads will be Zhao Jin Mai and Song Wei Long. This was an IP that many stars wanted as Gu Man novels You are My Glory, Boss & Me (Shan Shan Come … Continue reading →
