I really love watching the weekly BTS footage at the end of each new episode of In A Good Way. When the cast gets along and has fun, not to mention the drama is really good, then the BTS becomes a veritable gold mine of laughs and interesting chemistry to spot everywhere. I haven’t stayed around to watch every detail … Continue reading →
The cast of the upcoming 1930’s period K-drama Age of Feeling (Inspiring Generation) held a press conference last weekend to start drumming up positive interest early for the big-budgeted drama and I can’t say it was a bad idea. Even if it turns out to be a hot mess if more people tune in to check it out the odds … Continue reading →
Striking while the iron is hot, Lee Min Ho wrapped up Heirs this week and his agency promptly confirmed his long rumored casting in the upcoming gangster noir thriller Gangnam Blues. Lee Min Ho was offered the script back in September and he’s been considering it ever since. I think it’s a no-brainer choice to say yes. The script was … Continue reading →
I think the excitement over how awesome In A Good Way was right off the bat caused some delirium on my part and now I’m slowly talking myself down that high so that I can handle the long journey with this drama and not jump my own shark. Episode 5 continued the steady ratings increase by hitting 2.17 among the … Continue reading →
It’s taken me a few weeks to get back to wanting to write about Empress Ki mostly due to the last few episodes being dull as beans for me. The drama continues to do well in ratings, dominating the Mon-Tues timeslot by a wide margin and recently broke 20% in ratings and will likely stay there if not continue to increase. The … Continue reading →
Okay folks, Miss Korea continues to look fantastic. We might have another worthy contender on our hands. The full slate of drama posters have just dropped and its across-the-board gorgeous. I was already salivating over the first one featuring Miss Korea contestant Lee Yeon Hee getting primped by her two backers played by Lee Seon Kyun and Lee Sung Min. Instead … Continue reading →
Despite its low rated start, Prime Minister and I is firing on all cylinders and everything works right off the bat. That deserves accolades for that alone, and the rest we can only hope remains just as good and entertaining. This is one of the most out-there contract marriage set ups what with a Prime Minister and a tabloid reporter … Continue reading →
The written preview for episode 5 of In A Good Way came out really late this week but its here now so I’m happy again. Knowing the drama has time jumped a year to 1996, I keep going back through my memory rolodex of what was going on that year in Taiwan. Aside from the popular songs and cultural milestones, … Continue reading →
When normal people heard the word “Friday” the first thought is weekend almost here and work week almost over. For the next few months when I hear Friday I’ll start screaming In A Good Way kyaaaaaa~ That’s a normal reaction, right? I mean, find me a person who can withstand the force of sheer chemistry and visual perfection together that … Continue reading →
It’s with a pat on the head that I put Heirs/The Inheritors away, a drama that had so much but did so very little with it. It was enjoyable but frustrating, harmless yet mildly irritating. I wanted to tell it all the time to get on with telling me a story with more purpose while it stubbornly insisted that this … Continue reading →
‘ SBS is not wasting the chance to bandwagon on Heirs/The Inheritors great ratings and its follow up drama You From Another Star (You Came From the Stars) will air next week on December 18th. With that said, the promotional machine for this drama has been decidedly non-existent, especially stacked up against the juggernaut that was Heirs releasing stuff every … Continue reading →
It’s a wrap for Heirs/The Inheritors a mere hours before the broadcast of its final episode 20. The cast and crew assembled at the set used for the interior of the Kim mansion for a group picture and it’s going to require some squinting to see everyone. I spot Bo Na, Rachel, and Young Do in the front row. Second … Continue reading →
There are plenty of K-dramas that garner low ratings, nowadays more than ever since the audience seems to be dwindling and there are so many other options beyond the Big Three networks including the rise of cable programming. Despite all that, I’m still stunned to see the current KBS Wed-Thurs drama Pretty Boy (Bel Ami) with Jang Geun Seok and … Continue reading →
