This has been rumored for months and months ago, even before Moon Geun Young accepted Cheongdamdong Alice, and now as the drama gets closer to airing there is further confirmation that the long-courted leading lady will indeed accept the role. The upcoming MBC sageuk (its another sageuk deluge lately, no?) Goddess of Fire Jeongi is scheduled to air in late … Continue reading →
I need to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming. Kim Nam Gil has been out of the army for many months now and has been relatively low key as he returns to his entertainment career. He has filmed a movie since returning but when he left for the army he was experiencing a newfounded success because of two … Continue reading →
Da hell is this sideshow turning into? After a veritable alphabet soup of parties involved in the Park Shi Hoo rape investigation ranging from A to K, now there is yet another person speaking out on the case. SERIOUSLY? People need be shutting up here is all I can say. Alternatively referred to in the media as Park Shi Hoo’s … Continue reading →
From what unreal planet of adorableness doth these two come from? How did the earthling universe know to combine them together into one even more squeeworthy bundle of preciousness? Can I implant universal translators into their brain so they can communicate with each other henceforth and promptly fall in love and make dorky cute babies? With the variety show We … Continue reading →
So this confirms it – the only original cast members back for the sequel to Bu Bu Jing Xin will be Nicky Wu (4th Prince), Liu Shi Shi (Ruo Xi/Zhang Xiao), Ye Zhu Xin (10th Prince), and Damian Lau (Emperor Kangxi). The Park Shi Hoo rape investigation continues to take on an air of the absurd as the accused has filed suit against the alleged victim and a whole host of people have found themselves now an involved party in this mess. To counter the allegation that A made up the alleged rape and is looking to extort money from Park … Continue reading →
And just like that…..he’s off to the army. As he said he would do, Yoo Seung Ho enlisted for his mandatory military service today without a single media or fan member present to send him off. That’s quite a startling contrast to the majority of star enlistments, especially stars of his degree of popularity, where the media is camped out and his … Continue reading →
When I was in Asia last week, the entertainment shows were all covering the expanding barrage of press material and activities associated with the upcoming period wuxia movie Saving General Yang. It premieres early April worldwide which is a pretty ballsy movie for a HK flick. Starring Adam Cheng, Ekin Cheng, Wu Zun, Vic Zhou, and Raymond Lam, among others, … Continue reading →
So I’m totally and completely jet lagged. Again. I’ve been doing international travel multiple times a year since I was 5 years old but good gracious the tolerance is inversely proportional to experience and instead manifests itself with age. As I painfully tossed and turned in my comfy bed, I ended up trying to watch random dramas to see if … Continue reading →
The best defense is a good offense? Park Shi Hoo’s new lawyer seems to subscribe to that philosophy because this morning it was revealed that Park Shi Hoo has filed a lawsuit at the Seoul Seobu (Western) Police station against his alleged rape victim A for blackmail, against A’s supposed best friend B for defamation, and against the director of … Continue reading →
It’s been a week since Yoon Si Yoon wrapped up a successful run as free-spirited Enrique Geum on the youthful cable rom-com Flower Boy Next Door co-starring Park Shin Hye and Kim Ji Hoon. Contrary to my initial worry that I would be torn between two leading men that I love equally, the story made the decision easy for me … Continue reading →
We’re one week out from the premiere of The Best Lee Soon Shin and I’m getting more and more excited. I always want to like at least one weekend family drama a year because its makes a nice contrast to the sleeker fare of the primetime shows. It’s predecessor My Daughter Seo Young has done such phenomenal ratings and TBLSS … Continue reading →

The first scene filmed was between Liu Shi Shi and Ye Zhu Xin who played 10th Prince in the original. The sequel is given a different but similar name of Bu Bu Jing Qing (Startling Love with Each Step) and is set … Continue reading →
