SETTV really knows how to cross promote. On the upcoming New Year’s special cooking program, the leading ladies of Office Girls and its follow up drama Walking Forward Towards Love gathered together for a PK cooking battle. So cute. Alice Ke and Tia Li were on one team versus Tammy Chen and Amber Kuo. When asked who could actually cook, … Continue reading →
Let’s just be honest here and accept that Love Rain with Jang Geun Seok and Yoona will be making buttaloadsa of moolah regardless of whether it turns out good or a teeming piece of crap. It has already been presold to tons of Asian countries, and the Japanese obasan audience is primed for a Yoon Seok Ho drama starring the … Continue reading →
If anyone ever wanted to cosplay Ariel Lin, your wish just came true. This week Ariel was revealed as the face of the new online RPG called “My Fox Girlfriend”, which is a total rip off of the My Girlfriend is a Gumiho concept except set in a fantasy realm. While the Koreans have the nine-tailed fox (the gumiho), the … Continue reading →
This is much better. After seeing only stills and teasers for The Moon that Embraces the Sun, I was starting to doubt the drama can pull it off with the adult cast. Thankfully the production just released the official poster making video of the four leads Kim Soo Hyun, Han Ga In, Jung Il Woo, and Kim Min Seo. The … Continue reading →
There was no preview for episode 20 at the end of last week’s episode 19 of Office Girls, which left me totally chafing at the bit. I take OG for granted, but the second something is gone, I feel bereft. Such is the strength of my affection for it. The previews are finally out, and it looks like a doozy. … Continue reading →
I get really sad when I don’t see friends or family for an extended period of time. The same thing goes for actors I love to watch onscreen. While some of my faves have done projects in 2011, if the end results sucked or it just wasn’t my cup of tea, I ended up not watching it. But there are … Continue reading →
HAHAHAHAHA, this is so unreal! Roy Qiu showing up escorting Hello Kitty? Did I fall into my personal Twilight Zone? Or perhaps a utopia specifically crafted for me? I can’t even formulate any coherent analysis of what the frak is going on, other than Roy is on fire with endorsements all over Taiwan and China. And he’s got a great … Continue reading →
Okay, count me in. The preview for episode 1 of Wild Romance is out, and I chuckled repeatedly despite my better judgment. This things look funny in a Three Stooges sort of way. I don’t think it’ll be anything deeper than two bone-headed enemies falling in love in between pratfalls and peccadilloes. My koala sense is telling me this will … Continue reading →
The official posters for The Moon that Embraces the Sun have been released, and my initial impression is a big fat meh. The poster on top is boring, the standard have everyone stand in a row and do their own pose presentation. Plus the colors really remind me of The Princess’s Man and the background image of the moon and … Continue reading →
Let me get this out of the way first. I loved this final episode of Me Too, Flower! It wasn’t perfect, not by a long shot, but it was wholly satisfying in the things that mattered and served up a proper and meaningful ending in the truncated time allotted. I loved it so much its helped ease my frustration over … Continue reading →
I don’t know what happened, or how it happened so quickly, but episode 2 of Skip Beat slowed down considerably from its rollicking start. The script, execution, and acting are still fabulous, especially with the introduction of more characters, but I found myself wanting this story to get a move on. Which is my issue with the manga itself, so … Continue reading →
How fast time flies, since it’s time to say goodbye to yet another drama. As much as the last few episodes of Me Too, Flower! have been unable to tap back into the crackling intensity and great character and story development of the first half of the drama, I find myself really jazzed for the finale. I think I love … Continue reading →
Next Wednesday is going to be a throwdown for primetime K-dramas with three new offerings premiering on the same day. I was planning on watching the sageuk with pretty people, but will now add the goofy Wild Romance to my plate since the second teaser just released is starting to grow on me. I like that this drama has no … Continue reading →
