Ariel Lin took time out of her busy schedule to take a walk down memory lane, surprising the 2000 current students at her alma mater high school with a surprise appearance at the school’s annual celebration festival. Ariel’s teachers revealed that she’s never forgotten to call from time to time to keep in touch regardless of how busy and famous … Continue reading →
Wonderful Radio with Lee Min Jung and Lee Jung Jin released it’s full length movie trailer this week. I still find it underwhelming solely based on the trailer, even if the cast seems like it’s having fun and creating great chemistry. While this is not Lee Min Jung’s fault, but her character comes as as annoyingly screechy from the trailer … Continue reading →
Apple Daily released its list of the top ten money-making Taiwanese entertainers in 2011, five from each gender. The results are interesting purely from a curiosity perspective, since how much I like an actress or actor has no correlation to how much money they bring in. Nicky Wu leads the pack amongst all the male Taiwanese actors, with all his … Continue reading →
Get this. Vic Zhou’s upcoming movie Perfect Two with Ella will be going almost head-to-head with Mark Chao’s Black & White: Dawn of the First Assault. Is there some sort of karma god in this world that loves to mind frak everyone, because this can’t be a coincidence (not sure which side plotted it). B&W premieres one week before Perfect … Continue reading →
I’m still loving Office Girls, a drama that meets my expectation every week for an hour’s worth of chuckles and smiles. What’s not to love about that? Though I do worry that I’m inching closer and closer to shipping Alice and Roy as a RL couple and that would not be good because I’ll like be disappointed as usual. But … Continue reading →
Jang Geun Seok has fallen into a niche of playing artistic types in project after project, even if the profession ranges from musician to dancer and now to painter. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I sorta miss emo-Prince Chang Hwe and his ilk, the poker-faced emotionally-damaged type. For the upcoming Love Rain (which I always associate with some … Continue reading →
The upcoming Korean heist movie Thieves has a seriously mind boggling cast of Lee Jung Jae, Jeon Ji Hyun, Kim Hye Soo, Kim Yoon Seok (the undisputed box office winner of this Fall season with Wandeuki), and Kim Soo Hyun. I provided a synopsis earlier here, but now the first official stills are out. It’s nothing eye-catching, but merely provides … Continue reading →
MBC just wants to keep staying on my shit list, doesn’t it? After being the station responsible for the beginning-to-end mangling of Tamra the Island (no publicity, poor marketing, and then cutting it from 20 episodes down to 16), word has leaked that MBC is considering ending Me Too, Flower! early at 15 episodes. What. The. Fuck. Due to the … Continue reading →
Take a good look at Cha Seung Won as Dokko Jin in Best Love, because his next project will be pretty much the exact opposite of his over-the-top maniacal character with a heart defect. SBS has just confirmed that Cha Seung Won will be playing the lead in its upcoming drama The Third Hospital. No other casting has been announced, but … Continue reading →
Any of you figure skaters? One of the prettiest moves on the ice is the spin, a symphony of turning mixed with body movement. A spin starts off slowly with a wide body stance going into it, but as the skater picks up momentum the limbs are pulled tighter and tighter, ending with a whirling dervish on ice that finishes … Continue reading →
Episode 18 of Man of Honor got better in the sense that more stuff happened. But considering one major scene involved Jae In’s barely recovered formerly comatose mom stabbing Woo’s dad’s arm while looking like a rabid beaver, then perhaps it’s not so good. Though it was excellent for the lulz-factor. Yes, this drama has officially gone off the rails, … Continue reading →
I dropped In Time With You a few weeks ago, electing not to aggravate myself and remember it for the things I enjoyed, figuring that the drama would drag out You Qing and Da Ren’s murky best friends-in love with each other relationship until the very end. Looks like I was right, as the drama is headed towards its finale … Continue reading →
Absolutely nothing important happened in episode 16 of Office Girls, other than Mina and Lao Yu getting back together. The only reason that is even important is to wrap up the flimsy thread and hie those two off to Paris next week and off my screen. They are actually not annoying, but just pointless without any entertaining value. If we … Continue reading →
