Song Joong Ki with a scarecrow? Who comes up with these random ideas anyway? This one comes courtesy of Vogue Korea, which decided that one of the hottest young stars in Korea needed to pose with a stick and some straw rather than, oh, maybe an animated person. I’d be good with a bromance concept with Yoo Ah In, or … Continue reading →
Something happened in episode 4 of Man of Honor (Glory Jane) that I knew would happen, but it was still so sad and made me schmoopy for Young Kwang and Jae In. This drama is really laying down the foundation of the story mythology, which ramps up in episode 4 with more characters being introduced that appear to play big roles … Continue reading →
Looks like we have another potentially spooky yet funny K-movie rom-com on our hands. Lee Min Ki and Son Ye Jin’s upcoming Chilly Romance is just starting to ramp up it’s promotions for a December premiere, and the first teaser trailer looks charmingly offbeat. He plays a magician who pretends he can commune with the dead, she plays an emotionally … Continue reading →
Gosh, it’s so good to see Kang Ji Hwan back in business, the business of acting, of course. Even if the movie Detective Cha doesn’t premiere until next year, I just know there will be enough behind-the-scene pictures to whet my appetite. And the fact that his leading lady for this movie is Sung Yuri just makes me even happier. … Continue reading →
Party in the USA! Er, oops, wrong song. I mean Party in Taipei! Apple Daily held a star-studded party yesterday, not quite sure it was for any reason other than to get all the stars together for some fun times. The Golden Bell Awards is tomorrow, so maybe this was a pre-party of sorts? Either way, there were so many … Continue reading →
It’s official! I adore Man of Honor, and it’s all because of the OTP. Is anyone surprised? Not me, for a great OTP and a decent story plus execution almost always wins me over on charm alone. More pieces of the puzzle are revealed about the main characters, the fauxcest is totally put into place, and all the heightened emotions … Continue reading →
Next Magazine, you evil paparazzi trolls…..*goes to read*……*speechless*. More than six months after wrapping filming for Drunken to Love You (which finished airing two months ago), lead actors Joseph Chang and Rainie Yang have been busy with their many other projects. Rainie has been focusing on her music career with a hot album and concerts lined up, while Joseph has … Continue reading →
Just 120 more days to go until my Junki returns. I’m totally not obsessively ticking off the days or anything, though he’s been so active in the military entertainment division since he got shipped off I see new pictures of him almost every week, so other than his buzz cut it’s almost like he never left. Lee Jun Ki, along … Continue reading →
TBS has spared no expense for it’s 60th Anniversary production Nankyoku Tairiku (Antarctica), a dorama that from the first frame tells you this is going to be a eyeball enriching period piece. I watched episode 1 yesterday, leaving me at times bemused, at times awed, and most of the time emotionally engaged. Which is to say: this dorama is geared 110% … Continue reading →
MBC has confirmed that Can’t Lose will be wrapping up this week with a total of 18 episodes. But since Yoon Si Yoon just started filming for Me Too, Flower!, stepping in for the injured Kim Jae Won, clearly that drama is not ready to premiere next week. MBC has announced that it will be airing two one-episode Best Theater … Continue reading →
Wahhhh, could they BE any cuter? Roy Qiu, Alice Ke, and the cast of Office Girls make good on Roy’s promise to wear a dinosaur outfit and drive a Go-Kart around should the ratings for the drama break 5. Rather than let Roy fulfill his promise alone, everyone tagged along and kept him company. Awwww, the camaraderie on that set … Continue reading →
Oh noes! Yuan Xiang Qin ah, your hubby has been seen out and around town with you nemesis Pei Zi Yu. Hhhhmmm, but you’ve been having a slightly ambiguous BFF relationship with Lee Da Ren lately, so perhaps that evens out the score. LOL, it’s so weird to see Joe Cheng with Tiffany Hsu on his arm after so many … Continue reading →
Bu Bu Jing Xin is dramatic in ways that can only exist in fiction, yet it remains true to emotions that feel human and understandable. Not just about love, but about pride and loyalty, fear and courage. The characters lives may be extraordinary, but their feelings touch my heart in all the right ways. I still have so many scenes … Continue reading →
